Simply Sunday…..Where’s the Line to See Jesus?

The hustle and bustle of Christmas is in full swing. I hope with all that is going on you have been able to see Jesus. I want to remind you that we are celebrating His birth. He came so that we could be forgiven. I am still amazed he did that for me (and you)! I shared about how he has washed us white as snow here.

This video was sent to my husband and when he showed it to me I got chills. So I knew I had to share it with you.

The song is titled, “Where’s the Line to See Jesus?” and is sung by Becky Kelley.  Here is a little bit of background about the song taken from their website. “While at the mall a couple of years ago, my then four year old nephew, Spencer, saw kids lined up to see Santa Claus. Having been taught as a toddler that Christmas is the holiday that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, he asked his mom, “where’s the line to see Jesus”? My sister mentioned this to my dad, who immediately became inspired and jotted words down to a song in just a few minutes.”

If you would like to know more about this amazing song and how it came together you can visit the official website here.  Enjoy!!

  2. Wow, what a beautiful song.
Why do we struggle so to remember the reason for the celebration? Every year we try to do and buy less and celebrate His birth more, and I still feel like we miss it.

  3. Cold chills here too. We all don’t mind celebrating Christmas, however, no one wants to “offend” anyone by mentioning Jesus too much, especially in a public place like a mall or stores. The song is right. Christmas time is His birthday, yet we rarely see anything about Him unless we are at church. So so sad. I can’t imagine what He thinks about His people.
