A Family’s Testimony of His Faithfulness

Hey friends!

I wanted to tell you about a post my sister has written about our Dad getting remarried.

I would love for you to stop by and read it here. (tissues my be needed)

Traci does an amazing job of telling our family’s testimony

of losing our Mom and now transitioning to our Dad getting remarried.

Mom passed away in September 2009 and the last two years have been difficult

but we have felt God’s presence and His faithfulness through it all.

The loss Traci and I have felt from losing our Mom and our best friend

has been the most painful thing we have been through.

Traci and I have cried together, we have laughed together as we have thought

about the crazy things Mom did and said, and we have praised God (over and over)

that he gave us a Mom who instilled a faith and love for Jesus in us,

that no matter what, we could cling to Him. Thank you Mom!!

We are a blessed family, not because we have material possessions but

because we know the Great I AM (John 11:25).

My prayer is through reading our testimony you will know that He loves you too

and He does care about your hurts, and your fears and one day as He promised,

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death

or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:4 NLV

Amen and Amen!

This is a picture taken on Dad and Janet’s wedding day…..two families joined together.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us,

to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”  Ephesians 3:20 NLV

  2. Thanks Tonya! Our family has been through a lot the last couple of years and I don’t know what we would have done without Jesus!!
I loved watching your video on the news show!! You looked beautiful and how exciting!! Sure wish we could meet you person.

  3. Thanks Gail and I’m sorry you’re having trouble linking up. I wish I could help! Mom’s maiden name was Allen and they’re from Lexington. Wouldn’t that be funny if we were related! Have a great week!
    Blessing friend,
    Cyndi

  4. Thanks Barbie! God is in the midst and I’m so thankful. Losing Mom has been hard but seeing his hand in everything makes is much easier.

  5. I visited your sister’s blog yesterday. What a beautiful post. I am so amazed at God’s goodness and His faithfulness. Although I can imagine the feelings you experienced on this day, I know just by reading the post that God truly is in the midts.

  6. Just read Traci’s blog. What a beautiful testimony of God’s great love for your family. Thank you and Traci for sharing this with us. We should never doubt that God deeply cares about us.

  7. I’ve read many of your posts about your mom and they always touch me. I still have my mom/best friend and cannot image. God has really been with you and Traci and walked you through this. I know you still grieve your mom but through His faithfulness you are able to move on knowing you will be with her again.

  8. Amen, amen, amen! Traci did a great job of putting her feelings (and yours) into words. If anything, your feelings may have been even deeper than hers, with having had your dad living with you. I am SO glad and grateful for Janet!! What an amazing lady–so much like your dear mother! And what an awesome God to give her to your family!

  9. I read it last night while I was trying to link up to your party. You are right. Traci does have a wonderful way of putting her feelings into words. So do you! You must have gotten that from your mom. I would loved to have met her. Who knows, maybe I did and didn’t realize it! I know I will someday! I have been curious about her maiden name. Was it Allen? That is my mom’s maiden name as well. Who knows we may be related! Gail

  10. I just read the post on your sister’s blog! What a blessed family you are! Oh, I did need the tissue!
