Encouraging Words Wednesday and a Link Up

Before I begin my post today I wanted to say THANK YOU for all the comments

you left for a name for my sweet grandson to call me.

You all were precious and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated your ideas.

I wish I could give each of you a big hug!

I’m going to let you know tomorrow what name I’d like for Colt Allen to call me.

Now I wanted to share some encouragement with you today!

I was talking with a young lady this week who’s going

through a difficult season in her life right now.

She said she felt like such a failure. I’ve thought a lot about the word failure.

I looked it up on dictionary.com and this is the definition—–

“an act or instance of failing or proving unsuccessful; lack of success.”

We’ve all been their haven’t we? I know I have.

I have felt like a failure as a wife, a mom, a friend and the list goes on!

But here’s what I believe, we may fail at something but that does not make us failures.

It does not define who we are as a person.

I may have had some bad days with my children and yelled too much

and been impatient with them. I failed that day.

But that does NOT make me a failure as a Mom.

I love Psalm 3: 3, “But you are a shield around me, O LORD;

you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.” Can I hear and AMEN!

God does not see us as failures and on those days when we feel we have failed,

He comes and lifts our head and he whispers in a still small voice……….I love you.

His love is more than we can imagine!

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us

and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” 1 John 4:10
