Happy Friday! I don’t know about you but I’ve been attending a lot of wedding and baby showers. I’m having a baby shower for our Youth Minister’s wife in a few weeks so I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to serve. I’m definitely serving these delicious and yummy biscuits.
These biscuits are so easy–everyone will love them and they’ll think you spent hours making them.
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup self rising flour
1/2 pint whipping cream
Place the flour in a large bowl and add the whipping cream. Mix together until a soft dough forms. Pat out on a floured surface until it’s fairly thin, about 1/8 inch (biscuits will rise in the oven).
I use a very small measuring glass (it looks like a shot glass) to cut out the biscuits. Place in a 450 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
They cook fairly quick and should be removed when they are slightly browned. Brush them with butter after removing from the oven. This recipe makes around 30, 2 inch biscuits. It’s that easy and they will melt in your mouth!!
Food for thought:
Mom had this poem in her kitchen for years and thought I’d share it with you.
Recipe For Living
I shall pass this way but once,
any good thing therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show,
let me do it now.
Let me not defer it ot neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.
Have a blessed day!
Hi! I was just wondering if you have tried freezing the biscuits after cutting them into circles but before baking? I’m trying to stock my freezer with things like this, but I’m not sure if it would freeze well because of the cream?
Thank you for this recipe! They look amazing 🙂
