My First Trip To The Habitat Restore!

Hey  friends!

Well, we made it through the storms yesterday but I know several towns that were hit hard and my prayers are with them today.

Life is fragile, isn’t it? And days like yesterday remind us of what is really important in life.

Okay, I don’t know how many of you that read my blog also read my sister’s blog.

Traci has a DIY blog and she is very talented. She loves to paint, and hammer and saw and all that stuff. Me, not so much!

I love a beautiful home I just don’t want to have to get dirty while making it beautiful. Traci loves to get dirty!

If Traci and I were to go to TJ Maxx together she would head straight to the home section and I would head straight to the shoe section.

Traci said it perfectly on her blog, Goodwill makes her happy and the mall makes me happy.

We laugh at how different we are but when it’s all said and done we are so thankful to have each other.

Traci needed a project for her blog so I suggested she redo my laundry room.

Wayne and I have lived in our home for three years this month and I’ve been wanting to do something with my laundry room.

Here’s a picture of my ugly laundry room:

This past week, Traci and I headed to the Habitat Restore. I had never been there before and it was quite interesting.

Courtney, my daughter went with us to help video the whole experience.

So if you would like a good laugh watch this our crazy video!

  1. That video made me laugh-please promise there will be more installments?! Loved it when you sat on your bag to sit on the couch 🙂 Such a cute family!

  2. I wanted to comment on your grandson’s toy Sophie. My children all had one. It was a favorite of my son’s. My sister brought the first one from France.

  3. Too funny! I would not want to sit on that sofa either, but thank the Lord that He made you and your sister so different. : )

  4. Great video! We have a ReStore shop here in our town, but it’s not that big and they don’t have very nice stuff. Your store looks wonderful; my husband would go crazy there as we just bought a house to renovate. My 18 yr old is on her way right now to work on a Habitat house in New Orleans. Love the little guy’s sunglasses!!

  5. I loved your video. I LOL’d and definitely agree about sitting on your purse. I follow your sisters blog too and actually that is how I linked up to yours. Thanks for sharing and being my sister in Christ.

  6. Love, love, love the video. That would be me & my sister also!! I actually LOL’d when she aske dyou if you went to garage sales!!! That is SO me!!!
Thanks for sharing your faith & fashion with us!!!

I loved the video of you and your sister at the Habitat Restore…..you two are so funny and I think I would have put my purse down before I sat on the couch too! I am failry new to your blog and new to reading blogs period! I know, I know, where have I been?? I enjoy your blog and love knowing that even though we may never meet or talk we are sisters in Christ and that is a glorious bond. I look forward to many days of reading your blog, you are an inspiration to me. Amy

  8. I laughed out loud! You two remind me so much of me and my sister (I would be Cyndi sitting on my purse..just FYI!) I follow both of your blogs and can’t wait to see what you come up with. Thanks for brightening my day!
