Good morning!
I’m questioning myself this week as to why I do these What I Wore posts.
I don’t wear anything spectacular but I do try to dress tastefully
and add some trendy pieces.
For women over 40, we sometimes question what we should and shouldn’t be wearing.
So when I take these pictures it helps me see what I like and don’t like about my style.
I had another funeral visitation to go to this past week and this is what I wore.
Top: TJ Maxx
Black pants: I’ve had for years!
Tan Sandals: Forever 21 ( I broke my own rule and shopped at
Forever 21, I do love their accessories.)
Mother’s day for church I wore this and for some reason, I wasn’t crazy about it.
Top: JCpenney
Skirt: JCPenney
Nude pumps: I can’t remember!
I took this picture at my daughter’s house and I obviously didn’t
get a great picture (it’s too grainy!).
I love colorblocking~green top/hot pink pants.
Green Top: Target
Hot pink pants: JCPenney
Black Sandals: Kohl’s
Jean Jacket: Gap
My favorite thing about this spring/summer season is colorblocking. You can’t go to
any clothing stores without seeing it.
Have you tried colorblocking yet?
Beauty For the Heart~~This morning my devotion was on concentrating on today!
So many times we look ahead and sometimes we try to go ahead of God and
the plans he has for us. So today, don’t worry about tomorrow.
Live today, serve Him today. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:21 NLT
Have a blessed day friends!

Please don’t do away with your What I Wore Wednesday posts! They are informative and quite helpful to ‘over 40’ women like myself who are caught in the “too young/too old” fashion struggle.
Cute outfits. My favorite is the second one.
Creamy
I love your WIWW posts … as a fellow 40+ woman, I appreciate your insight and wisdom about how to dress appropriately and with style! Don’t quit doing them, please!! {One day I might even start linking up myself …}
Hi Cyndi- I enjoy your What You Wore Wed. posts…. and loved your Mother’s Day outfit. Very cute and springy! Have a blessed day!!!
I want you to know that you inspire me….. I am 58 years old and I look forward to everyone of your posts! Please know there are lots of us out here in the net world reading you, just not commenting! I think you are beautiful inside and out and your blog has helped me in my life and my walk with Christ! Keep up the great work for our Lord and Saviour.
Keep up the “What I Wore” please. More than once I’ve headed out to the store you mentioned here in Texas, only to find they don’t have the item. 🙁
You always do look “pulled together”. Very nicely done. Your inside shines through in your blog and that definitely completes the look.
I enjoy your What I Wore Wednesday! It does help to see what others over 40 are wearing. I want to look fresh and age appropriate but not frumpy and boring! Colorblocking is hard for me. I feel like it doesn’t coordinate on me. I do it some. I am almost 6′ tall so I sometimes feel like what I wear stands out more. I don’t like to stand out much!! Keep up the good work. I loved your Mother’s day outfit. Just bought an orange shirt because I found the color looks good on me with a tan and I am drawn to it!
I’m short, so I avoid colorblocking. I think it will just make me look shorter. But you sure look cute!
love your outfits and I want to get me jean jacket……
