What I Wore This Week~Chunky Necklaces

Happy Hump Day! A few weeks ago, I posted about chunky necklaces being a hot trend. I realized I didn’t have very many so I’ve been on the look out for some chunky necklaces. I bought two necklaces over the last couple of weeks, both I wore with the same top! 🙂

The weather has been oppressively hot this past week and to be honest I wanted to wear tank tops and shorts all week, but believe me, that’s not my best look. I love hot weather but it’s been too hot for me!

Beauty For the Heart~~This was a quote from my devotional book this morning, “The glitter of the world is tinny and temporal. The Light of My Presence is brilliant and everlasting.” How true!

Our material things can be gone in the blink of an eye. Natural disasters are all around us and our financial situation in America is not good.

But our God is everlasting! It’s the one thing that can’t be taken away from us. So today, fix your eyes on Him, the one who holds your future. He is faithful and He is worthy!

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

Have a blessed day friends!

  1. I have enjoyed reading your website trememdously! I’m currently in the process of revamping my wardrobe and style. I have realized that while I may feel like I’m in my early 30’s that my body is 46 years old! I have had the fear of looking frumpy and old! After reading your 31 days of fashion I have a new energy for getting the task done! I love how you coordinate your outfits to look ever so young and stylish, and remain budget freindly. I work in law enforcement, wearing a uniform daily can wipe out your outfit creativity! I also appreciate the Bible verses you reference daily too!
    Ever grateful!

  2. Oh snap! I just found your blog from the Casual Friday link up at Two Thirty-Five Designs! I am in love with your colored pants and your chunky necklaces. (Not to mention your amazing hair! Seriously, how is it so perfect?)

I never leave home without a necklace on, and I love that you used your necklaces to create two completely different outfits with the same top.

    Dossome 🙂

  3. A little FYI, I decided to to take advantage of the 10% off code (Thank you, Cyndi!) and discovered that you need to spend $100.00 in order to get it.

I really like your casual outfits this week Cyndi. I am pushing 40 and being more careful about my choice of clothing. Kind of makes me feel like a tween. lol

  4. I read the same devotional this morning. One of our Women’s Ministries leaders used that reading as an inspirtation for an event she called (Sparkle). We are not to be glitter in this world, which is man-made and contrived but we are to let our lights shine to “Sparkle” before the world so that they see the hope and love of Jesus. I’ve just recently discovered your blog and I have so enjoyed each post. Thank you for your inspiration.

  5. Your jewelry really adds a bright spot and pops every top you have on! One would never guess that you have the same top on in two of the pictures. Your jewelry also brings a lot of attention to your beautiful face. I’m always worried about wearing chunky necklaces or earrings because I have to wear glasses full-time. I wonder if it will make things look too busy but your earrings worn with glasses look fabulous! Maybe I just don’t trust my decisions.

  6. I live in Florida, and it is HOT here!!! I completely understand wanting to wear tank tops and shorts all the time! I love all three outfits, and the chunky necklaces. I look forward to your posts, they are always encouraging and uplifting!

  7. Love all three outfits! Still loving those coral pants the most since coral is my favorite color. I bought the same gold watch you bought at Target, but can’t seem to get any of the links out. Even had my husband try it and he can do most anything. How did you remove yours?

  8. I was in that oppressive heat….oh my! But good to be back in the midwest that is for sure!

I think you look adorable. Putting a white flowing tank on my list of basics! Love it!
