What I Wore

Happy Wednesday! It’s What I Wore day and you’ve already seen a couple of my outfits.

I’ve been doing some fall decorating around the house so I’ve also been wearing my yoga pants and T-shirts quite a bit but I didn’t get a picture {smile}.

You might get the idea, that I like the orangey, coral color. I seem to have several tops in this color.

Okay, this next picture is not really about my outfit, but my coffee bar. I’ve been seeing some coffee bars on Pinterest and I decided to create my own.

I already had all of these items in my house, I just put them in my kitchen and I love the way it turned out. So fun!

Beauty For the Heart~~I love poems (so did my Mom) and so I thought I’d share this one with you today.

Life is not a race – but indeed a journey.
Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy.
Say “thank you”, “I love you”, and “great job” to someone each day.
Go to church, take time for prayer. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh.
Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper.
Love your life and what you’ve been given, it is not accidental.
Search for your purpose and do it as best you can.
Dreaming does matter It allows you to become that which you aspire to be.
Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them.
Some of the best things really are free.
Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming.
Forgive, it frees the soul.
Take time for yourself – plan for longevity.
Recognize the special people you’ve been blessed to know. Live for today, enjoy the moment.

  1. The outfit of a white button down, white tank, and jeans with flats inspired me last week when I was getting dressed to run errands. I put on my new leopard loafers and I felt pretty all day. Was struck by how a simple classic look can make me feel so good…..While in line at a store, a man behind me tried to pick me up! (laughing) How lovely for this 51 year old married woman. It’d been a while! I had to do a Google search to find this post to thank you. I appreciate it!

  2. Hi Cyndi! You wear the coral colors so well, coral should be your signature color! I love the huge coral flower print behind your DARLING coffee bar. I’ve always thought having a coffee bar in my den would be a great idea. My hair stylist just put a lovely, small coffee bar into her salon and it has changed the entire atmosphere in the salon; so pretty and so cozy.
Back to your outfits. My favorite is your white button down with your jeans and that crazy good bracelet and necklace. White button down shirt and jeans are my “go to” uniform. Be blessed

  3. Cyndi, yes you look lovely, but I zeroed in on the words “yoga pants”. 🙂 Thanks a bunch, I’m a born-again 50-something woman who has been thinking about trying out yoga. The thing is, I’ve read a few articles re: Christians doing yoga. Most of them are against it. Any thoughts or comments on this?? Thanks a bunch. Oh, and I love your hair-do!!

  4. Loving the coral Cyndi, you always look great. Bought a new beige bedspread that looks great with brown and red pillows,a nice “fall” update.Wish I were in New England now to see the leaves change.
