10 Things For Less Than $100 To Take 10 Years Off

Yesterday I shared 10 things you can do in the next 10 minutes to take 10 years off. Today, I’m going to share 10 things you can do for less than $100 to take 10 years off from the book, How Not To Look Old.

1. Slim down with shapewear. Shapewear can cover bumps and bulges. Today’s shapewear is better than ever!

2. Boost your bust with the right bra.

3. Slough off old skin with a microdermabrasion kit. I love this one from Mary Kay.

4. Switch from powder to cream blush.

5. Cut some bangs.

6. Polish your toes–black, burgundy, whatever.

7. Pick up a hip accessory. A cute purse, or shoes.

8. Spring for “Body Bling.” Such as a statement necklace, an eye catching ring etc.

9. Whiten your teeth.

10. Have a tailor shorten (and narrow) your skirts.

This summarizes the things we’ve been talking about over the past 30 days. Some of you have already shared with me that you’ve added bangs to your look.

Have you tried anything else on this list? How do you stack up?

  1. Thank you for your advice. I have now read about the 31 days. Very interesting. Thank you!!

I tried to subscribe your e-mail but I didn’t success.

    Best regards,
    Maija-Liisa

  2. Hi sweet Cyndi! I’ve thought that I needed to switch to cream blush. I need to find an oil-free cream blush if there is such a thing.
Another good thing I’ve found that helps my eyes look brighter, fresher and “younger” is glominerals gloPrecision eye pencil in Peach. It is a flesh colored eye pencil that when used on the lower waterline of the eye does wonders for brightening eyes.

  3. Oh you made me laugh!! and I even read your comment to my husband. He laughed too and he didn’t know what to say.
I’m so glad you’ve liked this series and I bet you look adorable!
I’ll continue to share tips for women over 40 so I hope you’ll keep stopping by.
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

  4. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t understand how painting your toenails black (#6) will make you look 10 years younger. Can anyone explain that one to me.

Shapewear will definitely make one look younger.

  5. Well, over the past 30 days my husband has asked me, “Cyndi who” more than once. LOL. I now have leopard shoes, a darling black dress and a precious pair of wedges and I think my husband might of said the word “hot” when describing how I looked. HA! HA! Not completely sure since I was fainting when he said it. (He said to say “Thanks Cyndi”) I tried the mascara that you recommended and I LOVE it. The wand is so much better than those fat chunky ones. You have given great pointers and I’ve looked forward to your posts everyday. 🙂

  6. Cindy…I think you have really found your niche with this series! I have looked forward to your post every day and will be sad when it is over!
