What I Wore~My Style~Fashion Over 40

Happy Hump Day! Today I’m sharing pictures of what I wore. It’s pretty chilly here in Kentucky so I’ve been pulling out the scarves lately.

This is what I wore to church on Sunday (and in case you’re wondering, I didn’t wear panty hose or tights :-)).

What I Wore

 Dress-Nine West, TJMaxx

Jean Jacket-Gap

Scarf-Target

Boots-Marshall’s

I had lunch with a friend and then went to vote in this outfit. I’ve had this green polka dot blouse for a while but haven’t worn it because I wasn’t sure I liked the way the green looked on me. I added my black blazer and liked it better.

Blazer-Calvin Klein, TJ Maxx

 Polka Dot Blouse-A.n.a, JC Penney

Jeans-Target

Black Ankle Boots-similar here.

As of writing this post, I don’t know who our next president will be, but I’m so glad that the election is over. Enough is enough!

I’m ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas (of course I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet)! What about you? Are you glad the election is over? Have you started Christmas shopping?

Beauty For the Heart~~I love this verse because it reminds me of WHO is in control, “For I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.” 2 Timothy 1:12

Have a blessed day!

  1. Just wanted to pop by and thank you for being such a positive role model for women! I’ve enjoyed seeing your pins on Pinterest… and love your classy style! Love and Blessings during this fall scarf season! jules

  2. Hi Cyndi… I love your Bible vs. too! As you know, I’m Canadian and even I’m happy the election is over. lol. If one thing was made very real to me thru this whole thing, is, I thank God that we won’t be knows as Canadians or Americans or any other nationality in Heaven! As my sister was sharing with me that she is not going on FB anymore cause she couldn’t take this election stuff any more, I said “you know what? Cyndi never had a post saying to vote for so-and-so and I appreciate that soo much Cyndi! Thank you! We are all equal in God’s eyes, and it’s taught me not to look down on anyone… no matter what flag flies in our front yard. Thx Cyndi for the example you are…. I love you and your blog!!!

  3. Love the first outfit! I’m glad the election is over just not thrilled with the results. I have started Christmas shopping. I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and my birthday is this month too so it’s party time!

    🙂

  4. Cyndi, The green looks great on you. I love both outfits on you. I agree with Judy. It would be great for you to do a post on how you go from start to finish putting your outfits together. I love your posts! Brenda

  5. I LOVE the jean jacket!!!! I wear mine all the time. I actually have a few of them…..a light one, a darker one, a really dark one..oh and a white one!!!! I just moved to Colorado a year ago and have gone scarf crazy!!!!! Target has some really cute ones…and Forever 21 has great ones too….I should know I work there part time. It’s a blast…and mind you…I’m not 21!!!!! p.s. love the dress from T.J. Max…..I wonder if it’s still around there? Great Post!

  6. I have been seeking words of hope and grace today and I am thankful for your spiritual guidance (and your great sense of fashion). I know who is truly in control in this world and I will continue to pray daily for our great country. In the meantime, I will also continue to check your blog for fashion tips and guidance from a fellow sister in Christ. Green is a great color for you! You are simply lovely. Blessings. Susan

  7. I can’t believe you thought green wasn’t a good color for you! It looks wonderful. I think green, coral, and gold are great colors for those of us who are brunette and have brown eyes.

  8. Ahhh! That jacket, I was going to mention that jacket! It is perfect. I’ve been on the search for a 3 season black jacket that does not have a huge percentage of wool in it. I have a solid navy blazer that is 100% wool. It is really heavy and scratches my neck and wrists if the wool touches my skin. Bless you!

  9. Cyndi…you are just too stinkin’ cute girl! Both of those outfits are just fabulous and I would like to have the green polka dot blouse when you get tired of it, okay? The green is so pretty on you. I just love the way you put yourself together, clothes, boots, accessories, etc., you always look so finished! Maybe some day you can write a post on how you decide to put an outfit together from start to finish. Judy

  10. Gotta agree with everyone else; that green is gorgeous on you. With your hair color I would think you could wear any of the jewel tones well…and aren’t they “in” this season? You could wear a burlap bag and make it look stylish.

  11. Both of your outfits are adorable, but you need to reconsider NOT wearing green. The emerald is a fabulous colour on you…better than almost anything I’ve seen you in. Love the Target jeans as well. Which ones are they?
It can’t be too cold in Ky if you can go without something o your legs! Maybe the boots help. I’m one of those people who shop for presents all year. If I see something for someone I buy it…for Xmas, birthdays, Hostess gifts, whatever. I just add it to the stash. Some years I clear it all out, but generally there’s some carry over. Sometimes, they become gifts for myself:) CTD

  12. I love both of your outfits.
I am from Canada, so having the election is over is really about “if any new policies
    will affect our country”
I like how you say where you got each item even though, we don’t have those stores here.

  13. Cyndi, I love both outfits, but especially the one with the denim jacket. I’m glad the election is over and I have started my Christmas shopping, but no wrapping yet (I don’t enjoy the wrapping part and my daughter did all my wrapping last year).

  14. Gorgeous as usual. So glad the election is over, will be praying for our country daily. I have started Christmas shopping, but am trying not to rush Thanksgiving 🙂

  15. I’m loving your blog! And i love the denim jacket with your dress, I wear mine all the time, glad i’m not the only one that likes one!

  16. I’m glad the election is over too!!!

You look fabulous. Love that dress and the green blouse is a gorgeous color on you. You have a style that works really well for you.
