Fashionable Christmas-Pullover Sweaters

We’re on Day 3 of my series, 12 Days to a More Fashionable Christmas and pullover sweaters are a great look for the Christmas season.

Most of us remember the 80s and 90s when Christmas sweaters were all the rage. I have to admit, I owned a couple of them.

My Aunt Pat even made us Christmas sweatshirts one year and I have a picture of all the women in our family wearing them. Yikes! Now they have tacky Christmas sweater parties and laugh at what we wore.

Thankfully for us, pullover sweaters are a classic sweater that has stood the test of time. You can throw out those tacky Christmas sweaters and head out to your Christmas parties in style.

Here are some of the best looks of the season-

I love turtleneck sweaters and both of these would look festive at a Christmas party. The first is a gold metallic sweater (similar one here). The second one is a cherry tomato color, D.E.P.T. Cashmere Touch Pullover Sweater. I love to wear red this time of the year.

Striped and v-neck sweaters are stylish and classy. You can’t go wrong with either of these Banana Republic sweaters. The Merina v-neck sweater has several colors to choose from.

Polka dots are fun and an off-white cable knit sweater is a classic. You can add a scarf to the off-white sweater to add color. I purchased the polka dot sweater at Old Navy and the off-white sweater at Kohl’s.

Don’t you love wearing a comfy sweater this time of the year?

Beauty For the Heart~~I love this video. I shared it last year but I can’t let the season go by without sharing it again. Enjoy!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Lori thank yo so much! You almost made me cry. I try to have good posts but sometimes I think I’m crazy for doing this over 40 blog. Your comment means a lot!
    Merry Christmas!

  2. These are all great sweaters…you look so cute in those polka dots! I’d like to try that gold Michael Kors – like sweater. I would wear it with a thin black scoop neck 3/4 long sleeve tee underneath, great black pants and lot of gold bracelets. (well…goldtone) I think I’d wear that to a Christmas party afternoon or evening. I bet it can even be dressed down (even though it is metallic), with jeans.
    Have a blessed week!

  3. goodness – i really love the polka dot with yellow necklace. adorable!!! i had one of those necklaces in a different color and it broke. after seeing yours – i’m thinking i need to replace it. and, i just love me some polka dot tops!! i have to confess – in the 80’s, i had a sweater vest with barn yard animals on it. had the permed hairstyle to go with it. some memories are just plain scary!

  4. I subscribe to A LOT of blogs…fashion/DIY/home decor…but your blog is honestly the one I look forward to the most. Not only do I love your fashion advice and posts, but I am SO blessed every. single. time. You have such a sweet heart for our precious Lord. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us…..

  5. Lovely sweaters, well, except for the one at the very top of the post. 🙂

I’ve never heard that song. It is lovely, so thanks for sharing!

  6. Love the video! I had not heard that song before. What an amazing thought to have people lined up to see Jesus instead of Santa.
I can finally wear a sweater today. It has been in the 70s and 80s here in TX, but today in the 30s.
