What I Wore-My Style

Happy Hump Day Friends! I’m so glad you stopped by for What I Wore-My Style.

I hope you don’t mind if I brag on you for a minute but you all are the sweetest bunch of ladies! Not only do you help me out but you help each other out with your comments. I wish we could sit down and share a cup of coffee (insert your favorite drink) together, wouldn’t that be fun! 🙂

Okay, back on track. I recently purchased this striped shirt from Banana Republic. They had 40% off of everything in the store and I couldn’t pass this shirt up. I thought it would be perfect to wear through Spring. The weather was warm yesterday so I decided to go ahead and wear it.

What I Wore-My Style

The link to the riding boots that I wear all the time is here. I absolutely love them. I can shop for hours with these boots on and they still feel great!

Well, I guess you see what I decided to keep! Believe me, it was such a hard decision.

What I Wore-My Style

Here’s why I decided to keep the sweater:

~I have a black dress and even though you can always use more, I passed on the black dress.

~I loved the blue 3/4 sleeve shirt but I have so much blue. It would have been perfect to wear through Spring.

~I loved the scarf and I am a scarf girl but I have a lot of scarves.

~The black button up shirt was gorgeous but I have a lot of black.

#1 reason I chose the cardi was because I have absolutely nothing in that color. Not one thing!! The detail is beautiful and I can wear it with pants or skinny jeans.

Well, I’m a little afraid to ask, but what do you think? Believe me if I could have bought them all, I would have!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. That’s about my schedule too! We’re lucky to be able to do that aren’t we!Love your blog! Not many for women our age. You’re great! I wish you could do it full time too!

  2. That cardi looks awesome on you! I would never have thought to pair the mustard color with gray, I usually pair mine with brown….thanks for a new outfit idea! On a side note…I was reading your blog a couple of days ago….trying to decide if I want to cut my hair…YIKES! And my little 2 1/2 year old grandson saw your picture and said It’s NeNe (when he was born I was Grammy but when he learned to talk I became NeNe)! I take that as a very nice compliment!

    Enjoy reading your posts!

  3. I think you made the right choice, Cyndi! That sweater is darling. I love getting new things I can wear with skinny jeans; this is adorable! That mustard color is wonderful, and the embroidery makes it really special. 🙂

  4. Oh no! I was wrong on two counts of what I thought you might choose. I’m glad you chose the cardigan, that color is terrific on you, Cyndi! The design in the sweater is also very fresh and interesting.
Love the BR shirt you’re wearing. That looks as if it could be worn now with the scarf and transition into spring with narrow khakis or white pants. The entire outfit looks so pt together. 😉

  5. That sweater is so cute! I guessed you would pick the black dress because you LOVE black! 🙂 But that sweater looks great on you! I love your blog (and your sister’s too). When I saw one of her posts about shopping at the Habitat Restore with you, I got so excited because that store looked so familiar to me! I live in Lexington, too!! It just makes me love ya’ll even more… makes me feel like we’re connected in some way! haha Enjoy wearing your new sweater!

  6. I love that cardigan!!! I thought you would pick the black and tan shirt but this is gorgeous! By the way, I am a dental hyginist too. I think I love looking at pretty clothes so much because we have to wear a uniform to work and they are usually awful! How many days a week do you work?

  7. Love the sweater! And since you don’t have anything in that color, I imagine it was a bit of a risk for you. It looks great!

  8. I love the BR top and skinny pants! You look amazing.

You look nice in the mustard cardigan as well. I cannot wear that color because it makes me look to yellow. 🙁 You are beautiful in all colors. 🙂

    Have a wonderful week.

  9. irst off, I love stripes and that sweater is great on you especially with the red scarf.
I also chose the cardi because of the colour, design, sleeves and the fact that it’s a cardi. Can you have to many?
I did think you should also have chosen that black faux wrap dress (depending on the fit.). It looked really nice and while you may have many, that is a very modern and timeless look, as well as being extremely slimming. I just love wrap dresses and was so glad when they “came back”. I also liked the sleeveless aspect for the warmer weather and thought you could have worn it with the cardi.
The package is a wonderful idea for those just thinking about fashion or even to pick out travel clothes!
Thanks for posting often. I look forward to the comments almost as much as the posts.

  10. It’s good you went with the sweater. It’s different for you and that’s the whole purpose of the Stitch Fix idea. Looks pretty!

  11. I love that cardigan. Great choice. Looks great with the gray slacks, too! I would have picked the same sweater had I chose! Thanks for sharing! Love your blog!

  12. The cardi was my guess yesterday…and I love it on you. Good choice 😉
I got my Covergirl/Olay eye corrector in and I love it. Thanks for the tip.

  13. Yay! I was hoping you’d keep the cardigan so we’d get to see what you’d do with it! I love that color but sometimes am not sure what to mix it with–I’m anxious to see all that you do with it!

  14. Love both outfits, especially the first one. You have helped me be okay with wearing my brown riding boots with black. I wore an outfit last week and thought about you. Thanks!

  15. The sweater is perfect on you! Love the color and classy look, and it’s great with the grey pants. But you always look beautiful. The first outfit is darling, too. Makes me want to add a red scarf to my wardrobe. Today. Instead of cleaning house. 🙂

  16. I was hoping you’d pick that cardigan! That color is so versatile and will go with many things. It looks great on you! And I’m always in love with a navy/white striped top. I was wearing one when I met my hubby 36 years ago. He said he’ll never forget that outfit, so each year I find a navy/white stripe top I like to wear just for him!

  17. Great choice, especially given your current wardrobe options! With your dark hair and eyes, that color looks great on you. I’m sure you’ll find the sweater a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. Looks great!

  18. I loved the sweater when I saw it posted yesterday. I have a thing for cardigans! It looks very pretty with the gray slacks.

  19. I had a feeling that would be what you kept. I would have kept it too. It looks great with the grey pants. You wear it well!

  20. You look beautiful! I totally would of picked that too. How funny of me, I was so excited to see what you chose!
