My husband took this picture of Colt with his Iphone. It’s not the best picture or the best quality but this is what Colt does all the time now.
He stands right in front of you, puts his hands up in the air and opens and closes his fingers. He’s saying, “I need you to hold me!”
It’s the most precious thing and there’s no way we can say no to him. So we pick him up and we hold him, we tell him how much we love him and we squeeze him real tight.
When I was looking at this picture it reminded me of Matthew 18:2-6, “Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.“
Don’t we need to come to our Heavenly Father the same way Colt comes to us? Just humbling ourselves and admitting we need Him.
It’s easy to think that we can do things on our own but deep down inside we have a need for a Savior and I’m so thankful when I lift my hands up that he’s there to hold me and comfort me.
Have a blessed Sunday!
