Simply Sunday-If We’ve Ever Needed You

I hope you’ve had a good weekend! Sundays are busy for us but I’m always thankful to be able to go to church and worship. I love being with my church family!

This song by Casting Crowns was recently sung at one of our services. It’s several years old but still relevant today. The song is, If We’ve Ever Needed You. I’m not a pessimist but it just seems to me that our world is going down a dark path.

What has happened to morality? Do we even know what morality is anymore? Morality is defined as knowing the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior.

We’ve not only lost morality but our christian values are being attacked. I sometimes worry what our grandson, Colt Allen, will face in his lifetime.

Simply Sunday-If We've Ever Needed You

I love the words to this song (the video is fair). I hope you enjoy it and realize–We Need Him!

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15b

Have a blessed day!

  1. Oh Cyndi… I know how you feel. I sometimes look at our innocent little ones and think “what will your grown-up years be like?” Someone recently shared, if you read in the Old Testament there was such evil… even in Noah’s days it said “wickedness of men was great” and the thoughts in his heart were only evil contiually… and in Sodom and Gomorra’s days as well. But I, like you, wonder somedays how the line between right and wrong, got soo blurry and hazy? Oh but to think we serve a God that is still in control… no matter what, He is still on the throne! Thx for your encouraging blog, Cyndi… and for sharing the pic of Colt. I’ve missed hearing about him 🙂

  2. Cyndi,
You have hit the nail right on the head!
The old saying “Change is Good” is hard to say now days, isn’t it?
There is an educational (I suppose educational is the correct word) curriculum here in Texas that over 80% of our school districts have chosen due to tax cuts over the last years.
It teaches anti-Christian, Muslim beliefs, Socialistic, Communism, you name it anything unmoral and that is what it is.
It has taught that the Boston Tea Party was a TERRORIST ATTACK. How the Five Pillars of Islam are comparative to Christianity and that the 9-11 horror was a FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
It is not Godly at all and my grandchildren are HAVING to learn all this garbage. Thank goodness they have a strong belief in Christ. But there are those who don’t and maybe never will due to this teaching.
Teachers are leaving their loved profession over this curriculum.
Texans are NOW beginning to fight back and hard.
I’m sorry to be on a soap box but I do agree Our country’s future is going down a VERY dark path right now. And it is very scary!
We need to stand as a whole and bring back our Christian morals into our schools, neighborhoods and homes!

    Blessings,
    Betsy ♥

  3. It’s sad to think our grandkids will not know the same world we lived in as kids but they have the hope of knowing the same God we believe in and trust our future to. Thanks for sharing. Blessings and Hope!

  4. I agree will all of you ladies…. It is very sad to think of what kind of world it will be for our grandchildren. All we can do is pray and trust Gods faithfulness. Knowing He is victorious in the end is the best promise we have . He will never leave us of forsake us 🙂 have a blessed day gals

  5. I know what you mean, Sharon and Cyndi. I worry that my grandkids will never enjoy the same America we grew up in. Now “anything” is acceptable and we(Christians) are just suppose to be quiet and go along or be ridiculed. It’s so crazy. The greatest comfort we have is KNOWING GOD WINS in the end and it’s all going to work out just as HE wants. I love that song and it’s so true! Have a blessed Sunday!

  6. I was just thinking about “right and wrong” and how clear the line was when I was growing up. And how clear the consequences were if I chose to do wrong.
