A Cheap Way To Update Your Fall Wardrobe

31 Days of Fall Fashion & Beauty Tips
It’s day 25 of my 31 Days Of Fall Fashion & Beauty Tips! Today we’re going to update our fall wardrobe the cheap way!

A cheap way to update your fall wardrobe

We’ve spent the last 25 days working on our fall wardrobe. We’ve talked hair, nails, makeup and clothes. It’s fun to see how we can update our fall wardrobe but it can be expensive.

Many of you shop smart by going to Goodwill and you find some great deals. I’m not a Goodwill shopper, I never seem to find anything so I shop sales at the stores I love. I also shop at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s.

If you want to update your fall wardrobe but money is tight, add some trendy jewelry. It’s the fastest and least expensive way to give your wardrobe a boost!

So if you’re looking to add some jewelry to your fall wardrobe here’s what’s hot this fall 2013. {Bold earrings, the bib necklace, cuff bracelet, rockin ring, and a long necklace}

Have you updated your wardrobe with any trendy jewelry lately?

  1. Old Navy also has some great less expensive jean jackets. They usually have some pretty good jacket sales. Blessings 🙂

  2. I love your blog. we dont have a Goodwill here in my town but we have 3 thrift stores, the Goodwill is 30 miles away. I think the key to thrift store shopping is keeping an open mind and going often. I also like the church yard sales. I got a cute camo skirt at a church yard sale and MOTO boots and a Camo jacket at the Goodwill(8.25)boots looks brand new. I have been searching for Moto boots for months. its not easy to get trendy stuff in a small town you have to hunt and peck, which is ok if you have time. Also be careful what you buy, you can over buy and have a closet of things that dont match. I bought alot of vintage jewelry from a church thrift store for next to nothing. I always bring hand sanitizer and thoroughly inspect anything I buy. I have a a basic work wardrobe stored up in my closet for when I change jobs to a more formal office wear. I can add to it like a nice blazer and good shoes.

  3. Loving these posts on fall fashions! Thanks for all of the great advise, Cyndi! I have found that hosting a jewelry show is a great way to receive lots of free jewelry to update your wardrobe. You can find a local Independent Distributor by copying and pasting this address:

Looking forward to the next few days posts to see what else you will be sharing, Cyndi!

  4. Hi Cyndi.

I am a Goodwill shopper! 🙂 Unfortunately for my husband, I am also a J Crew shopper, Gap shopper, Amazon shopper, etc.! I love to shop, but I do a lot more looking than buying these days. I am a middle-aged mom of a four year old, so I buy things for her first. I also love consignment stores.

Love the bib necklace you showed. 🙂

Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
    Gina

    P.S. I almost forgot……I am also a Stitch Fix shopper! 🙂

  5. Kim,
I have been on a search for a cheaper jean jacket as well. Every time it see Cyndi’s I look again! Look on ebay! I just bought a fabulous Gap denim jacket for $20!!! It is so perfect. I went to the store to confirm my size then started searching. I think the Goodwill workers always got the great jackets before I saw them! Good luck!

  6. I live in Lexington and found a local girl (from Georgetown) who has an awesome jewelry company. She had a booth at Evans’ Orchard and then come to find out I know her cousin. (Lexington is such a small world!) Anyway, she is precious and her jewelry is so trendy and everything is $30 or less! She always has awesome sale items too! I’ve now bought a ton of stuff from her but it’s so worth it to find inexpensive trendy statement necklaces. Oh and her UK scarf is Amazing!!! Check her out! http://www.southernbelleglitz.com/

  7. Cyndi – I have been following your ideas this whole month of October! I am a regular shopper at the Goodwill Store and I have found almost all the clothing items that you have mentioned at the Goodwill, except for a blue jean jacket. I have purchased several pieces of clothing and three pairs of shoes and I have spent less than $50.00. I am hoping Donnie will buy me a blue jean jacket for my birthday in November! Thanks for all the great tips and ideas! I cannot wait to see what else you have planned for the rest of the month! Now, I have to make a trip to the Goodwill to look for some jewelry! LOL!

    Thanks! Kim
