My Skin Care Routine

Yesterday I shared my Everyday Makeup Routine with you all. So, today I thought I would share my skin care routine since it’s different than what I’ve been using.

My Skin Care Routine

About a month ago, Renee, a Rodan+Fields consultant, asked if I had ever tried Rodan+Fields skin care and if I hadn’t, would I be interested in trying it?

I had never tried Rodan+Fields skin care but I thought it would be fun to give it a try. I don’t know about you all, but I’m always willing to try a new skin care product, especially if it guarantees that I’ll see results.

I’m at the stage of my life where I don’t just need to prevent wrinkles, I need to get rid of wrinkles!

Here is a before picture of my skin without makeup and no photo editing. Let’s not go pinning this picture to Pinterest, okay? Yikes!

My Skin Care Routine

Here’s what Dr. Rodan & Dr. Field’s say, “With Rodan + Fields, looking good and feeling confident has never been easier and it’s all possible without a trip to the dermatologist’s office. Our products are clinically proven to deliver on their promises and this has led to a large and loyal customer base.”

Okay, that sounds good and I’m hoping they’re right. I’ve been using it for one week and while I haven’t seen any less wrinkles (it does say to give it 8 weeks) my skin does feel softer than normal.

They have several different regimens to choose from:

  • SOOTHE Regimen for Sensitive, Irritated Skin and Facial Redness
  • REVERSE Regimen for Brown Spots, Dullness, and Sun Damage
  • REDEFINE Regimen for the Appearance of Lines, Pores and Loss of Firmness

The only down side is, it’s more expensive than my regular skin care routine. The total of the products I’m using is $193. There are ways to get it at a better price such as become a consultant or a preferred customer.

If I like it, I’m thinking I could use some of my grocery budget for skin care. Who needs to eat right?? My husband might disagree!

I’ll be sharing the results and my honest opinion after 8 weeks. If you want more information you can go here. I know Renee would love to talk to you and share more about Rodan + Fields skin care.

I’m curious, have you all ever heard of Rodan + Fields skin care? Have you ever tried it?

Beauty For the Heart~~I wanted to share something written in my bible study I’m doing called Abounding Hope.

“Our God is a God who loves to bless the faith of his children. He may choose to bless in tangible, material ways. Or he may choose to bless in deep, unseen, soul-level ways. But mark it down. Obedience leads to blessing.”

Have a blessed day!

**I was given this product for free to try and share my honest opinions with you.

  6. Hi Kathy,
Rodan +Fields have a Soothe line for sensitive skin, so I would suggest you start with that regimen. You will
    LOVE the results !
    Changing skin – Changing lives
    With R+F

  7. Hi Cyndi – I’m also a consultant and I’ve been using the Reverse in the morning and Redefine in the evenings since then end of October and I’m still on my original bottles. They definitely last longer than 2 months. You will start seeing results soon and I know you will love them! Good luck!

  8. Never heard of this line! I hope it works for you 🙂 I used to use Drug Store brands (ROC) and then expensive stuff…Obagi and then Dr. Dennis Gross. I went to the Derm, and now I am using only Retin A every other night. It works better than anything else! God Bless!

  9. I have been using R+F for several months, I use the redefine and love it. Many of my family members use it as well and we all love the results. As for the price it is a 2 months (plus) supply, think it comes to $2.36 a day. You can also get it less if you sign up as a preferred customer or become a consultant as I did. LOVE the products and hope you do to

  10. Cyndi,
You look amazing with and without makeup! I started using R&F a few months ago and alternate between the ReDefine and UnBlemish because I’m one of those lucky ones over 40 who has both wrinkles and blemishes. Now I am also getting some brown spots so I’ll probably have to add the Reverse in as well. GRRRRR! Anyway, I love it. Yes, it is pricey but I have fewer breakouts and when I do breakout they tend to clear up quicker. My skin is smoother and feels more balanced…not too dry (like most blemish products tend to do) or too oily (like many products for aging skin do). I’ve used Clinique, Arbonne, Neostrata, and just about every over the counter product available. If you like R&F become a preferred customer and save some money. Oh, and my R&F products last longer than other products I’ve used so that definitely helps.

  11. Cyndi your skin does look great. I too, like Leena said, use Nerium. It is fabulous! I am 46 and for the first time ever, have noticed a huge difference in my skin. No other product I have ever used has reversed signs of aging and made my skin so smooth and soft. I also found the bottle does last longer than one month so you are not spending the $93 (including tax and s&h) in one month. Go to there website and check out or the before/afters and read up on the product. It truly is amazing! You can get your money back if you are not happy. Even if the bottle is empty. 🙂

  12. I have been using Nerium AD (night) for the past year. I love it so much that I became a consultant so I could get mine at a great price. My face doesn’t break out (I thought acne was for teens, not people in their 40s!), and I no longer have really dry skin in the winter. The price ranges from $80-110 for a bottle, and you only need the one product. Good luck with the R&D! I appreciate you sharing your experience.

  13. Lynn – Rodan and Fields is currently not selling in Canada, but we will be selling there in August of 2014! It will be a very exciting time! If you know of anybody that would be interested in becoming a consultant in Canada, there is no better opportunity than being first! My contact information is: 180yourface@gmail.com

  14. Yes, you have to use them for them to work! 🙂
I like the idea of using the reverse and the redefine. I’ve got some sun spots I’d like to get rid of.
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

    1. I just want to tell you that I’m newbie to weblog and truly liked your blog site. More than likely I’m likely to bookmark your site . You certainly come with perfect writings. Many thanks for sharing your web-site.

  15. Hi Cyndi.

Yes, I have heard of it, but I’ve never tried it. There’s a girl at the Y that I go to that is always networking there to try to get people to try it. I was using a line called Derm Exclusive and loved it, but stopped due to budget constraints. I have two sick dachshunds and private school to pay for, so there’s not much left for me anymore. It’s okay though.

Your skin is beautiful! I do not see any wrinkles. 🙂

    Gina

  16. I have heard of it and was recently wondering about it. I don’t know that I could spend that much… I’ve tried another product called Become and it is supposed to be a little more affordable. I didn’t use it past the trial sizes, but I loved the way it made my skin feel.

And your skin looks fantastic with no makeup…. !

  17. I am really enjoying these makeup and skincare posts! I have heard of R&D but never tried. I am a big fan of philosophy products. I have very dry skin. and I just started using the anti-aging line (When hope is not enough) but am interested in your results after 8weeks

  18. Yes, I have heard of this product before. I have Facebook friends that sell it. It is a bit out of my personal budget at this time though. I hope it works well for you. I am looking forward to your review.

  19. Hi Cyndi,
Wow, I wish my skin looked that good without makeup :-). Keep doing whatever you have been doing because it appears to be working.

I have never tried R&F, but I have heard of it. I used Proactive and I think it is by the same doctors. I am not very adventurous because of skin issues and allergies (and in this case cost), but I will be interested to hear what you think of it in a few weeks.

    Blessings,
    Kathy

  20. I have used Concept Now skin care products for 30 years – I love it! Over the years I have changed products as I aged. They have some beauty products as well but not as many colours as in the past so I don’t use much of them. I haven’t heard of Rodan & Fields maybe because I live in Alberta.

  21. I use Dermalogica products such as the Age Smart and their products for rosacea. It’s cheaper than R&D but more expensive than drugstore. A good medium.

  22. I’ve been using Soothe for a couple of months and have definitely noticed a change in my skin. It is expensive, but IMO worth it. I figured if I was going to spend money on skin care products at the drugstore, and bought the A.M. of this product and the P.M. use of another product and all the stuff that goes with it, the cost of those products would eventually add up to the preferred customer pricing. After seeing my consultant’s skin, I was ready to try R&D!

  23. I think your skin looks pretty terrific without make up and no photo shopping! I use Obagi products and while they are expensive I think of it as an investment. There is nothing better than great skin!

  24. I just started using R&D products. I started with the refine and after 2 months added the reverse. I do the reverse in the am and redefine in the pm. I bought the macro exfoliator thing tried it for 60 days didnt like it and returned it and they actually refunded my money. I was very consistent the first 60 days and my skin felt/looked better. I need to go back to being more consistent and see what happens. I bought the roller thing before Christmas but havent tried it yet. Need to make time to read the directions…lol! Keep us posted!
