Spring Shoe Trends 2014

Good morning! Since I’ve been sharing spring trends, I couldn’t help but talk about spring shoe trends. All I can say is think 90s style!
Spring Shoes Trends 2014

I’ll be honest and say I’m not seeing any styles that I love. But I’m sure some of them will grow on me. There are so many bizarre ones from the runway, that I didn’t even show you those.

1. Pointy toe flats are back and I’m seeing them everywhere.

2. Heels with ankle straps. I love this look, but they don’t look great on me.

3. The Gladiator sandal. These have been around for a couple of seasons and I still don’t like them.

4. The Mule shoe. I just got rid of a pair of mules a couple of years ago. I wish I had kept them.

5. I have seen these several places and all I can say is ugly. Really???

Well, what do you all think? Are you seeing anything you would wear?

Beauty for the Heart~~I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14

You are created in the image of God, and God doesn’t make junk! You are His treasure and He loves you!

Have a blessed day!

  1. They don’t even look good or comfortable on the models! I think I will stick with my rounded toe ballet flats and t strap sandals. I have been seeing forecasts for spring and fall 2014 trends for jeans that show a move away from skinnies and to a wider leg! Gasp, I hope not! Most of my jeans are skinny and would hate to have to purchase wider leg styles. Do you think skinnies will still be in for awhile? Thanks, Beth

  2. Is it just me? Most of these shoes look like they would hurt 🙁 Not in love. One good thing about being a little older is a shoe collection built over time. Looks like I may be sticking with what I have for a while!

  3. I’m with the majority here, I don’t like most of them! I like the ankle strap sandals, but I always feel like they chop my legs in half. I want my legs to appear longer, not shorter. 🙂
    Blessings Cyndi!

  4. Apparently, I am the really strange one here. I would totally wear the #5, but not in white, unless I was doing head to toe white. I could see it with shorts and a fitted tee or slim fitting shirt half tucked. I could also see them (in another color) with the new midi skirt lengths, going for the more boho look. That’s just me though. I love the ankle strap shoes, so I may get a pair of those. I do not like the pointy toe flats, but we’ll see if I change my mind. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing Cyndi.

  5. I think we have to remember that we are not slaves to fashion. Trends come and go – and that is the plan! That causes us to buy more things! When I saw the wide leg pants, my first thought was that I wasn’t surprised: after skinny pants being all the rage, it won’t be long before wider legs are “on trend” in hopes that women will go out and replace all their pants again.

  6. Have never liked gladiator scandals either 🙁 Only one I could see myself getting is the heels with ankle strap… I do think they are cute. Otherwise, I think I will be wearing what I love, not whats in style 🙂 Hope you are having a great week, Cyndi!

  7. I guess I am the odd woman out…I thing that every woman should have a few pairs of classic pumps in different colors, patterns & heel heights…They can be classic and contemporary, depending on how you put together your outfit. I also like the flats at times, however NOT the pointy toe version (my Grandfather used to call the real pointy-toe shoes “roach-stomppers” haha)

  8. Well, as with the new nail trends, I guess I will be a little “out of trend” with the shoes this spring. I can’t say that any of them excite me………like you, I do like the ankle straps but that is not the best look for me. As for the gladiators, I have seen some I liked but I don’t own any. 😉 The white heels make me think of Minnie Mouse…..LOL…….oh well…….maybe these trends won’t stick around for long!
