3 Valentine’s Day Outfits

Happy hump day! Valentine’s day is fast approaching and I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to wear (assuming my husband is taking me to dinner, which would be in his best interest!). I’ve picked out 3 Valentine’s day outfits that I might wear.

Of course I love to wear dresses and I found this graphic print dress at The Limited and I added a red necklace.

Since our weather has been dreary, I’m adding color to my outfits to make me feel better. I don’t think you have to wear red for Valentine’s day. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors.

I added brown pants and wedges and then another pop of color with my bracelet.

For a more casual date night, and I’m guessing this could be what I wear, I picked this casual green blouse and added a coral necklace.

The Limited was having a great sale. They had buy one blouse, get one free. They had lots of colors for spring!

Also many of you have asked about my gold toe shoes from Zappos. I bought them over a year ago, and they don’t have them anymore.

I’ve looked everywhere for another pair and I finally found one similar at ASOS. They’re a little pricey but I love mine and wear them all the time. I may order this pair because mine are starting to wear out a little.

You can go here to find them. If you know of anywhere else to purchase them please let us know! (Okay, these are out of stock. Sorry!! Hopefully they’ll have them soon.)

**Update on the gold toe flat, I found another pair on Amazon for $17.99, you can go here.

Are you doing anything special for Valentines Day? What will you be wearing?

Beauty For the Heart~~We were created for eternity. I love this quote from my Experiencing God Bible study:

“God did not create you for time; He created you for eternity. Time—your lifetime on earth—provides the opportunity for you to become acquainted with Him. It provides occasions for Him to develop your character into His likeness. Then eternity will hold its fullest dimensions for you.”

Have a blessed day!

  1. Girl I like when you wear the nude hose with some of the outfits. And it doesn’t make you look old! With a tan heel it makes your legs look longer too!

  2. Cyndi, I agree that one of the reasons I love your blog is the clothes you wear are affordable. You shop at stores that are accessible to me and not from places I have never heard of. You keep it “real” for regular women like me. Thanks for that and don’t change!

  3. Love the dress on you and I love the green tie blouse. I just picked up a white tie blouse two weeks ago and have been trying to decide if it was 50 something appropriate but I like how it helps hide the tummy so I think now I will keep it. I would say it depends on what your “date night” will be for valentines night as to which outfit you should wear. Have fun whatever you decide to do.

  4. I’m going to stop whining now…I tried it again and Praise The Lord ~ They came up! All three are very cute!

  5. I’m sure the outfits are just beautiful, but unfortunately I couldn’t pull the pics up again. Happy Valentine’s Day!

  6. Love the red necklace with black and white dress! Will be borrowing this idea for sure – not just for Valentines Day!
Also – the blend of coral and green print…..very nice!!!

  7. All the outfits look great Cyndi. Wear the dress though on the date with your hubby :-). I love the wedges you got from Payless. So cute! Thx for sharing. Happy V-Day!

  8. Cyndi,
I love the dress on you! Go with that one. 🙂

We are in the midst of the dreaded winter snow/ice storm. Our power will probably go out soon. Hope you have a great Valentine’s Day. 🙂

  9. your outfits are so cute – love it! I enjoyed perusing your site as well.
I am not very hopeful about a special Valentine’s Day this year – but who knows, maybe he’ll surprise me!
    Hope yours is fantastic!

  10. lovely outfits. just wanted to send along a thought and a prayer for your daughter. I know from experience these sort of holidays centered around romance can be a bit rough;especially the first time around.

  11. Thanks for the great ideas! I especially love the green tie blouse! You prove that we dont have to wear red on Valentines day to look festive. I am sharing my casual V Day look today on the blog with my teen daughter(: We are having a family night out for the big day(: Susan

  12. Love all these outfits, Cyndi but especially that last blouse!! No Valentines date for us this year… We will spend the day driving and then celebrating our son’s birthday… he was born on Valentines day 🙂 Hope your man treats you to a special day! Hugs!

  13. In case anyone is adventurous enough, the toes of plain ballet flats can be spray-painted gold! Check out Pinterest. And good luck!

  14. My husband is taking me to see Kenny Rogers in concert on Saturday night (a combination Christmas/Valentine gift) and I’m really looking forward to it. But I have nothing as cute as what you’ve shown to wear to the concert. Might have to go shopping before Saturday. I love all three outfits, but the last one is my favorite.

  15. All of those outfits look lovely on you! My Valentines date will be my husband and I treating our three young boys to the long-awaited Lego movie. 🙂
    Blessings Cyndi!

  16. All 3 outfits are beautiful and look great on you! I especially like the dress (I love to wear dresses too!) and the green blouse. Like Lori I really appreciate that the fashion pieces you share are usually very affordable. Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!!

  17. Cyndi, I liked all three outfits! I just wanted to say that I appreciate that most of the clothing you share has been purchased at stores with reasonable prices. I follow a few fashion blogs that used to do that, but over time they seem to be sourcing most things from J Crew (which I love but can’t afford on a regular basis). I can make the occasional splurge, but it is rare. Thanks!

  18. Oh me…I had just talked myself into ordering a pair and went to the link…and they are all out of stock. Do you have another link where they may be found?

  19. Beautiful out fits all three. and each one very stunning on you! I am in need of Ballerina Flats but I know my feet and I scuff the toes too bad to have a pair of gold toe flats….but they are very pretty and would go with most any outfit! I will have to think on this one….LOL Have a great day! Hope you get to go to dinner on V-Day!
    🙂
