Some Sunday Inspiration-Just Be Held

This past week Wayne and I went to see Casting Crowns. In case some of you haven’t heard of them, they’re a contemporary christian rock band. We both love their music!

Some Sunday Inspiration-Just Be Held

So of course, I’m going to share a song by Casting Crowns with you. It was hard for me to pick which song because I love so many of them.

One of these days I’m going to share about how I let my past mistakes define me. I’ve had a hard time forgiving myself but I’ve finally realized that God has forgiven me and can use my past for His glory. The song they sing that reminds me of this is East to West.

But today, I want to share a song off their latest album. When they played it, Wayne and I both said we could have used this song a few months ago.

The song is titled, Just Be Held. When I shared the post about our family’s struggles, I was overwhelmed with the emails I received.

Many of you shared struggles with me that you’re facing such as divorce, health problems, difficulties with grown children, loss of a loved one, just to name a few.

It was a reminder to me, that we all face struggles. We’re not alone in this. God wants to help us through whatever difficulty we’re facing today.

Here’s one of my favorite lines in the song:

So when you’re on your knees and answers seem so far away
Youre not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your worlds not falling apart, its falling into place
Im on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
Just be held

I hope you know today that God is on His throne and you’re being held!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song! It was medicine for my aching heart. I am downloading it to listen to on my way to work, it is just what I needed. Thank you!

  2. What beautiful lyrics, a beautiful song by a beautiful band that serves a BEAUTIFUL God!! Another amazing one by Casting Crowns-but I’m not surprised. They always blow me away by their music. I’m in the midst of a personal struggle-and those words are good for me today. I praise God! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you Cyndi for sharing! I have been battling some horrible health problems for years. I made some wonderful progress then about a year ago I seemed to be losing ground. I have been in a very dark place for the past few weeks especially and fighting the horrible depression and thoughts of not being able to go on anymore. I know these thoughts are the devil coming against my mind. As I was praying and reading God’s word last night I finally felt as though I had a breakthrough. I remember about 10 years ago also going through a really horrible time and as I prayed that night I asked the Lord to comfort me and I could feel him envelope me in his arms as I fell to sleep that night. Last night I gave it all over to him once again and asked that He would hold me just like He has done before. When I read this today and listened to the song it was as if He were speaking directly to me. Thank you for all that you share but especially thank you for allowing yourself to be used to bring comfort to those like me that are going through some tough battles in life! His timing is perfect!! Blessings to you and your family 🙂
