Favorite Fashion “PINS”-Spring Fashion

Happy Friday friends! I’ve got a busy weekend ahead of me. Lots of last minute things to get done before leaving for San Francisco on early Tuesday morning.

I’m so excited about spring this year! I guess it’s because we’ve had such a cold winter. Believe it or not, they’re talking snow for us on Sunday. What??

Oh well, we’re focusing on spring fashion around here so here are some of my favorite “PINS”!

You know my love for the chambray shirt, so you can imagine I have my eye on this chambray dress. I know it looks short but the model is tall and has on high heels.

Such a cute striped dress. For cooler weather I would add a jean jacket or blazer.

I knew the pastel colors would grow on me. Isn’t this pastel pink top gorgeous?

Cute outfit but notice the white heels. I’m seeing them everywhere.

Have you noticed all the collarless, short jackets? Cute!

Is the pastel trend growing on you? What spring fashion trend are you loving?

I’m pinning a lot of spring fashion to my Pinterest board, you can follow me on Pinterest here.

Beauty for the Heart~~Have you ever felt fearful? I know I have. Here are some verses that have helped me.

  • For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
  • So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:31 (NIV)
  • This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 (NLT)

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi Cyndi.

I have to say, I do like that mint green look! I’m not a fan of pastels on me, but I may have to go with some mint green and light blue this spring. I can always wear it with black ankle skinnies…right? 🙂

You may have already done a post on this, but what are your thoughts on the old/new high waist pants look? I know they make our legs appear longer, but it has never been a flattering look on me. If a women has any kind of “muffin top”, the high waist jeans seem to “capture” it…at least for me. They end up making me feel fatter. Maybe it’s because my waist is about 11″ smaller than my hips. Would love to hear your thoughts. Hope you have a safe and awesome trip! Find some great Stitch Fix items of us. 🙂

  2. Collarless jackets are da bomb, at least for girls like me who have very short necks (Audrey Hepburn got the rest of my neck). 😉

I love the white heels. It reminds me of fashion when I was a kid. Thanks for a great trip down memory lane.

  3. I’m wearing a pink shirt right now, so I guess that means I like the pastels. (I’m not sure if they are right for my skin tone, though). Thank goodness we’re in Florida for 10 days of bicycling. I didn’t know it is supposed to snow tomorrow in Lexington. Isn’t it spring???? Have fun in SF. Eat breakfast one day at Crepes on Cole. Jordan used to live across the street from it, and their breakfasts are great!!!

  4. the collarless idea is great to me. they are so neat and unrumpled looking as well as my narrow shoulders do not get dwarfed by collars and add to the pear shape I have been blessed with.
I am so looking forward to your and Traci’s comments and pics of your weekend. Interesting to see how the two of you pick up on something the other one may have missed that gives such a total picture.

  5. Did you ever think white heels would be in style again? For awhile they were “only for brides” and otherwise a fashion no-no. 😉
Love the collarless jackets–no collar to get in the way of a scarf.
    Blessings to all!

  6. They said to layer up. It can cold one place and warm around the corner. Crazy!! Can’t wait to see it.
    Blessings,
    Cyndi
P.S. Praying you all get that rain, I know you need it!!

  7. I have a more structured denim dress that’s ancient…guess I can pull it out again! I love the pink and mint green; they both complement dark and light hair as well as a variety of complexions depending on the intensity. I have some white heels I’ll also have to resurrect. Gosh, I loved that look at one time, but it may take some getting used to this time around. Great choices, as usual. CTD

  8. I am loving the mint green and pink! Being blonde and having a fair complexion, I wore a lot of pastels growing up, so I guess I’m just used to them. Those colors just sing “Spring!” to me.

Cyndi, I’m so glad you included Joshua 1:9 in your list of verses. I learned that verse as a child, and I find myself reciting it whenever I am stressed or afraid. Thanks for your mix of fashion and faith. I really enjoy your blog!

  9. I’m debating the pastels, too. They’ve never been a good look for me, but maybe I need to re-think them–they’re everywhere this spring!

You may see some rain next week. They’re forecasting rain for later in the week here in N. California (Sacramento), not sure about the Bay Area. We SO desperately need it, so we won’t complain!!! Check the forecast before you head out–maybe bring a raincoat, just in case. You’ll have FUN though, no matter what–there’s nothing like SF!

  10. I have a chambray dress very similiar to the one shown and I love it! I’ve worn it several times this winter with tights & boots (would probably have worn it more if hadn’t been sooooooo cold!). I plan on wearing it for the spring, rolling up the sleeves and with sandals. I also have a sleeveless one that I bought last summer and I’m looking forward to weather warm enough to wear it!!!! 🙂 As for the pastels, I’m still debating. 😉
