Fashion For Women Over 40

Good morning!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We had a busy weekend but it was super fun. I was able to spend time with family and that’s the best kind of weekend to me.

I snapped a few quick pictures of some Mother’s day fashion. Of course the sun was shining and I’m squinting, sorry about that!

I received this dress in one of my Stitch Fix boxes several months ago when it was still cold and I couldn’t even think about wearing it. But yesterday was warm so I pulled it out and wore it to church.

Later in the day I changed into something a little more casual.

We got a quick selfie before church of the whole family. So blessed to be in church together. That’s the best Mother’s Day gift!

Did you do anything special this Mother’s Day? I shared some Mother’s Day encouragement yesterday, if you missed you can go here.

Beauty For the Heart~~I look up to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord. He is the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1

Have a blessed day!

  1. I completely agree with Teresa that the coral top and pants is very flattering. I was just brave enough to buy white jeans for the first time in years and I’m headed straight to the Ann Taylor site to see if they still have that gorgeous top to recreate this look. Thanks for the great idea! Glad your entire family could be together for church – that’s always such a great feeling, and it’s hard to achieve once the kids are grown. You are such a good example to us as a wife and mother – hope your Mothers’ Day was blessed in a special way!

  2. Love the dress! I’m glad you had a great Mother’s Day! I’m with you about being with family. I was able to be with my husband, sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter! I also got to visit with my parents which is always a blessing. (My dad had been in the hospital and got to come home yesterday!) All those things made for a wonderful day!

  3. …got my first stitch fix box today – it was just great! Keeping a top and necklace…someone mentioned in the comments that they can find stitch fix items at tj max – however – can’t beat a delivery to my door and items picked out for me:)

  4. fun family selfie.
the heart message is on a velvet pillow with gold lettering and cord to hang in my bedroom. first thing I have seen for several years. it was a gift from my daughter many years ago.

  5. Great day, we started out at church and just hung out together all day and grilled some nice steaks and veggies. Perfect day!!

  6. My Mother’s Day was wonderful. I got to spend 4 hours in the car with my teenage daughter. We spent the whole time talking and discussing her, her plans for college, her favorite things and her thoughts about life in general. it was a great day. She’s maturing into a wonderful young lady that makes her momma proud each and every day.

  7. Kerrye, if you know the brand you just google it. Some of the stitch fix brands are available elsewhere, and occasionally cheaper! But they’re mostly all boutique so you can’t find them at places like Macy’s. but tj Maxx carries almost ALL the SF brands! Which is honest why I stopped getting fixes. I found the items at tj Maxx that I saw online!

  8. Nothing better in the world than sitting in church with the entire family! We didn’t get that opportunity yesterday (being dairy farmers makes it tough) but we ate lunch and dinner together and watched a hockey game in the evening, so this momma was happy…it really is the simple things in life! 🙂
