Summer Fashion For Women Over 40

I knew the month would fly by if I was counting down the days. I can’t believe it’s day 20 of my 31 days of summer fashion. What??

Today I’m sharing on outfit with my favorite pair of wedges. I purchased these last summer online from The Limited. Of course they don’t have them now.

Summer is such a great time to pop some color and this tank from Stitch fix is perfect. I recently purchased this gold bib necklace from Stitch Fix and my ankle pants are from The Limited too.

We’ve been super busy the past few days, moving Courtney and Colt to a new town and a new home. We are so excited for her! This is her new home.

We painted the great room earlier in the week. It was a dark tan and Courtney wanted to lighten it up.

This was what it looked like a few hours after she moved in. Courtney does not mess around, she likes organization!

Colt got a new “big boy bed.” No more baby bed for him. He jumped in the bed and kept yelling, “My big boy bed!” He loved it!!

Courtney is calling this her “happy” place. I’m thrilled for her! She has been through so much over the last year. God is good and I knew he was going to turn her mourning into joy.

Psalm 30:11 says,“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.”

Thank you for all your prayers for Courtney and our family! You have been a blessing to us!

Have a blessed Saturday!

  1. Very happy for Courtney. Did she get a new job out of town or just decide to strike out on her own again. She was very lucky to have the total support of her family in this time.

  5. Courtney and Colts new home is as cute inside and out. It has been a while that I have wanted to ask how they are doing but was reluctant to bring up something so unhappy. So, thank you for the lovely update.
the outfit looks so summery and fresh.
Looking forward to the music you choose for tomorrow.

  6. Cyndi,
I have only been following you a couple months and have really enjoyed it.
I loved the blog a while back about Nylons and all the comments. I was watching a new TV show a few days back and the lead actress stepped out of a car, coming from a wedding to a crime scene and she had nylons on. I was like….”Oh look, maybe nylons are coming back” It just made me think of your blog. I do love this outfit….shoes especially. I am intrigued about your daughter’s story. Is there a link somewhere that I can read about it?

  7. Home Sweet Home for Courtney and Colt. May it be blessed with many new and wonderful memories made as a family surrounded by the love of those nearest and dearest to them.

Love those shoes, Cyndi . . . BEAUTIFUL!

  8. Congrats to Courtney and Colt. I’m sure God will continue to bless them:-). Love your outfit Cyndi!

  9. Oh Cyndi…God is SO good. It was always His plan for Courtney to have a life full of joy and fulfillment, but we don’t always know the cross we may be asked to carry in the midst of His plan. Your beautiful and courageous daughter picked that cross up and with the help of His strength found her way to new joy. Colt is a blessing x100 and her their new place to nest joyfully is beautiful. Courtney has her Mother’s gift for home design and Colt’s big boy room is precious! And so we give thanks to our God and praise Him for His faithfulness to us. In her time of pain, heartache and struggle, He took one of His strongest, most dear angels and blessed her and her family abundantly. Also, know that just as He graced Courtney with your and Wayne’s unconditional love and support , he graced you as her parents with an opportunity to show Him your trust and unwavering faith. He is so proud of His faithful servants! Love to all of you!
