A few weeks ago, my sister and I went shopping for the Haven Conference. We shopped at The Limited and picked out a navy blue dress for her to wear.
Traci’s wearing the dress in this picture. I think most of you know my sister but in case you don’t she blogs at Beneath My Heart. She’s absolutely gorgeous on the outside but her true beauty is on the inside. We’re best friends and I love her to pieces!
Anyway back to the dress. I liked it so much, I decided to go back and get one. I didn’t get the navy dress but I got a patterned one.
Of course, I added a picture with my denim jacket. I also have a navy blazer that I think would look good with this dress.

Youza! that is REALLY cute, especially with the jacket. My Mom used to shop at The Limited when the quality and styles were gorgeous. it seemed to look so dated and poor of such poor quality in recent years, but judging from your finds (and all the comments) I’ll have to check it out again. Thanks.
P.S. I too worry about booties looking clunky with dresses and cutting my leg in half, so I only wear them with pants of some sort and plain tights or blending patterned ones. They looked cute on you.

I love this dress on you Cyndi! I’m another one of those girls who though the Limited catered more to the younger set. I will have to check them out. I loved your dress yesterday too. I have a question about booties for you…. I started wearing them with dresses last fall but only with tights. (My booties are black suede so I wore them with black tights.) I wasn’t sure about booties with dresses at all because I’m only 5’2″ but the tights seemed to keep a long line going and I ended up wearing them tons! I love the way you paired the brown with your chambray dress and tan bear legs!!!! If I try for a similar look should I try to find boot that match or complement my skin tone in order to get the longer leg look I want? Was this something you considered when you bought your brown booties? Silly question… I know… But I would really like to try this but am worried about my short legs appearing stumpy! Thanks!!!! I too love the Limited when things are on sale. Sometimes, I have to reign myself in when I’m in there and think about the practicality of some of their pieces. I’m a basics kinda gal. My newest favorite store (which isn’t a new store, just new for me) is White House/Black Market. They are so helpful and accommodating when I shop there. They are always making suggestions and helping me put outfits together (I know this is a sales tactic, but I like the help and the attention). And…when they put things on sale it’s usually a really good deal. Love the dress and the the jacket…very cute!

The Limited is my favorite store for many years now. They have effortless, sophisticated pieces, plus great sales and coupons. I own a ton of their dresses – love yours and of course the denim jacket over it makes it even better. All you ladies look great, actually.
I like The Limited, too! Funny–I hadn’t shopped there for years, but re-discovered them last year. It seems like it used to be sort of a teenagers’ kind of store, but not anymore! Love their things.

Really like the dress and in that particular pattern. Looks great with the jean jacket. We have a store nearby so I’m thinking I’m going to try to head that direction in the next few days!
