Let’s Bring Out The Boots!

Happy Monday friends! The temperatures were in the 70’s yesterday so I decided to bring out the boots. And by looking at my picture, I seem a little giddy about it.

Let's Bring Out The Boots!
I recently purchased this dress from the LOFT. I thought it would be one of those dresses I could wear now and continue to wear when the temperatures get cooler. I could easily add black tights, a jean jacket or a black blazer.

I added jewelry that I’ve had for a while and I carried a large black handbag. The dress is comfortable enough to wear all day!

Have you all started wearing boots yet?

Beauty For the Heart~~We started our small group last night and I mentioned before we’re doing the discipleship study, Not A Fan. I’m using a journal for my quiet time and one of the verses I read is Luke 9:23, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me.”

So easy for me to type that verse, but hard for me to live it out. It’s a daily relationship. It’s not about me, it’s all about Him.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love this dress on you with the black boots, belt, and jewelry. It’s a great fit and look. Thanks for sharing about your group study and Luke 9:23. When I read this verse on your blog today the fruit of the spirit popped into my head and I remembered printing a free printable for myself and our children to put on their bulletin boards in their room. I’m not sure exactly how this directly relates to Luke 9:23 and your study but here’s a link http://www.pinterest.com/cwmade/free-printable-fruit-of-the-spirit/. I just started my blog and did my second WIWW at The Pleated Poppy. Would you hop on over to my blog and if you like what you see subscribe? I’ve enjoyed following your for awhile now.

  2. It’s still too warm for tall boots for me. Even though it’s cool in the morning and evening, it gets too warm in the afternoon. Being gone from home 10-11 hours a day, I have to try to figure out what’s going to be comfortable all day. I have brought out some flats and will probably get out my “shooties” before too long. Last winter was so long and this summer has been so short, I’m in no hurry for boots. 😉
