Fall Fashion-LOFT For Women Over 40

I’m ready for fall fashion! I recently purchased a leopard print blouse from Loft. I loved the feel of the blouse and it doesn’t wrinkle. Yay!

It’s been in my closet a couple of weeks, and I’m not sure how I want to style it. Because it has a hint of soft pink, I decided to try it with my tan boots.

I thought a necklace might be too much so I wore some large earrings with some silver bracelets.

I think I would like it better if I added some black leather booties. Something like this from ANNE KLEIN.

What do you think, how would you style this leopard print blouse?

  1. Love all of your clothes except all of your tops are too baggy. I think they would look so much better if they were a little more fitted. Otherwise everything looks great!

  2. Dark boots will give one a longer and leaner look. The lighter boots distracts from this look because it breaks up the line.
    You still look good!

  3. Love this look! You look so chic and beautiful.
I’m so glad I found your blog! I love the name 🙂
Would love if you stopped by to say hi and read my birthday post!

  4. I love everything about this outfit. I always wear my diamond stud earrings, so I’m not a hoop (wearer) Is that a word? I however, do like hoops on other people. I love the boots! I paid way too much for a pair very similar last winter and ended up giving them to one of my daughters. I just didn’t think I was cool enough to pull them off. My daughter is definitely cool enough, but she asked me the same thing. “Mom, am I cool enough for these?” You are cool enough too 😉

  5. Loft is hitting it out of the ballpark this fall! I love everything they have! Thip top is perfect. I would suggest a pair of colored denim- maybe red or cobalt – with black or brown booties. You look lovely! Susan

  6. Like this much better than the scarf outfit with the cuffed pants and skin showing above the boot. You look adorable here!

  7. I vote for the tan booties, as well. I like the contrast next to the pants and I think it works nicely with the colors in the blouse.

  8. I have the short sleeve version of this Loft top and have worn it with dark denim as well as black skinny jeans. It’s still very warm in Oklahoma so I’ve worn woven luggage colored wedges with the jeans and black wedges with the black. You really can’t go wrong with either. I will probably wear taupe booties with it later on and a long cardi. Because I need more color toward my face and the short sleeve is a round neck, I wore a Stella and Dot
necklace with coral in it. Even though this leopard has a pale pink color in it, I thought of it as a neutral. Love the way you styled it Cindi. You always look so pretty!

  9. I love your blouse. I bought one from Talbots and I just love it. Such a great new style. Love how you accessorized it and what pants, booties you are wearing. Looks great!!!

  10. I love the taupe booties with it! Sometimes black is too matchy matchy…I like a softer color boot with dark pants…hardly wear my black boots anymore. You look great!

  11. Hi Cyndi girl! I love your blouse, the whole outfit looks so cute on you! I would have styled it exactly the way you have. I also really like the color of boots you have chosen. My daughter bought a deep taupe pair of short boots to wear with her skinny jeans and they look SO cute on her. A question for you and/or others on the blog. I cannot wear large earrings. Any weight whatsoever causes irritation and redness to my ears. I can only wear small white or yellow gold hoops or my 14 kt. diamond studs (they’re small 🙂 ). I think the earrings you are wearing fill up a nice space around your face and neck. Would I add a necklace or not to perk up that area or not? Thanks girls! Be blessed!

    1. I would suggest shopping for higher quality earrings (shop your higher end dept stores and for earring brands like Monet, Brighton, etc) and 14k gold or silver plated earrings. Yes, you will pay more but those earrings will last a lot longer so you will get A LOT more use out of them. And, their color won’t turn. I have 2 pairs of nicely sized gold hoop earrings I bought from QVC over 10 years ago and I wear them every week.

  12. Would have to take it Florida style (we are a long way from boot season!) Ankle length pants or jeans and wedge sandals. Love your styling! I am not sure I am going to embrace the ankle boots, we’ll see…

  13. How about winter white or cream? I think a cream scarf at the neckline could be beautiful especially with your coloring. This could also be dressy with a black skirt and pumps. Very versatile.

  14. I love this look. I’ve noticed lately that people are wearing tan, brown or gray shoes when I normally would have chosen black. Maybe the “unexpected” shoe choice is the trend now. Either way, love the outfit.

  15. Love the blouse. Black booties would be nice. You have a point about the necklace. In this case, less is more. What about bracelets with some color that pops? Such fun! Reality paper dolls!

  16. I like the lighter booties, even though the black gives you another choice. I think the lighter booties keep the focus on the beautiful blouse. Good choice on the jewerly choices. God Bless
