31 Days Of Fall Fashion (Day 23)

Welcome to Walking In Grace & Beauty! Can I just say I have the best readers ever. You all bless me more than you will ever know.

Yesterday I mentioned the no show socks and many of you shared the best brands, and how much you love them. You’re such a help to everyone who reads this blog. THANK YOU!!

Today is Day 23 of my 31 Days of Fall Fashion. One item I had on my wish list this fall was a poncho sweater. I recently found this one at Marshall’s.

It’s comfortable and warm.

I added my black sandals from Rack Room Shoes. These are definitely my favorite shoes right now. I love the height of the heel and they’re comfortable. I can wear these all day!

Have you tried the poncho sweater?

Beauty For the Heart~~A little color on your cheek can make all the difference. I love a pretty blush.

Did you know scripture talks about cheeks? In Luke 6:29 Jesus stretches us to love our enemies. He tells us, “If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also.”

Obviously He doesn’t want people to hit but he wants us to love the unloveable. Love those who aren’t easy to love. Remember we’re not responsible for how others treat us, but we are responsible for how we treat others.

How well are you loving people today?

Have a blessed day!

  1. Go for the poncho. It’s alook I think almost anyone can wear! This one is a beauty, Cyndi. You just reminded me to pull out my gray one! Thanks.

  2. Love this outfit! One on my favorites on you. I really think what I like the most about it is the tonal look, as you are wearing basically one color family. It gives you a nice put together, streamlined look.. I am heading to Williamsburg soon and a poncho maybe perfect for the trip! Going to check it out. Please update us on Bennett when possible. Still praying God blesses her and her family.

  3. wow what a really great poncho. I am more and more wondering what am I doing in so. calif. with all these great cold weather clothing !!!
turning the other cheek is a really hard one to master. I have been reminded a number of times that it does not mean that one takes on the role of doormat.

  4. I love the poncho and regret not buying one at TJMaxx a few weeks ago when it was 85 degrees here! Hopefully I can still find one!

  5. Love the poncho and i too have fond memories of wearing one when I was younger. Beauty for the heart is great. Praying for those “prickly ” people in our lives helps our attitude change toward them 😉 have a nice evening Cyndi

  6. Love your outfit Cindi and like ponchos too! Several of my friends have told me they can’t wear
them because their “girls” are too large but I think some ponchos are thin enough that they will wiork just fine. :). Your Marshalls must be alot better than mine because I never find as cute of clothes/shoes as you do!

  7. Beautiful outfit, Cyndi, and you ladies remembering back to the “poncho days” of long ago made me laugh… I can relate to those crocheted (sp?) colorful ponchos our mothers made us… I was so glad when there was a new project that came along to keep them busy making something else other than ponchos for us kids! Thinking I may have to go try and maybe buy one of these just to see how it looks on me (40 years later) lol

  8. Love, love the poncho!! I pulled mine out a couple of days ago to wear on a trip I am taking up north! Love your poncho and the entire look! I need to work on that scripture about turning the other cheek! 🙂

  9. I am so glad you posted this! I am posting my poncho tomorrow and I am not sure that I like it on me. I am not sure if I am keeping it. I dont think it is long enough. I like the length of yours better. But they sure are warm!! Susan

  10. That is a cute poncho! I think we who wore them “a long time ago” had bigger ones the enveloped us….these smaller ones are more attractive for sure! I have graduated to a walking boot and can’t wait to be out of it too so I can use all ideas I have picked up this fall from you and your readers! Boots and cute flats (with the right kind of socks, wink, wink) are still a distant dream but I am trying to be patient as my leg heals. Thanks!

  11. Love your blog… love your outfits! I’ll admit that I’m still not sold on the ponchos. Just can’t get the vision out of my head of the yellow and brown crocheted poncho I wore in 5th grade! Maybe it will just take some time to lose that vision! Thanks!!

  12. Love the outfit…almost bought a poncho over the weekend and put it back at the last minute because of it’s price…if it had been just a few bucks less I would have been more comfortable taking the chance on it….having a little trouble blocking out the 5 year old me in a cream colored poncho and wondering if I can pull it off so many years later. The one I tried on was very comfortable, yet warm and I thought it would be great for fall days and inside restaurants, etc.

  13. I already pined this to my Stitch Fix Board in Pinterest. I absolutely love it. I’m hoping my stylists can find one! Good job Cyndi on the outfit and the scripture for t0day. I have found that prayer really helps when we need to turn the other cheek. God is so good! Blessings!
