31 Days Of Fall Fashion (Day 25)

Welcome to Day 25 of my 31 Days of Fall Fashion! You all are going to crack up, but I’m styling my burgundy cords again.

I told you yesterday that my sister and I are at the Allume conference and we’re having a blast!

31 Days Of Fall Fashion (Day 25)

Last night we had a few hours before dinner and decided to head outside and walk around downtown Greenville. It’s a beautiful city!

I had Traci take a quick picture. Have I talked you into burgundy cords yet?

I promise, no more burgundy cords for a few weeks!

Beauty for the Heart~~This weekend we’ve been talking about hospitality. They’re stretching us to think outside of the box. Hospitality doesn’t mean we have to invite people we know into our homes but also strangers.

I think of my Mom when I think of this. She was always helping someone and it was usually someone none of us knew. I loved that about her. She wanted to be the hands and feet of Christ.

I’ll never forget waking up one morning to find a homeless man sleeping on our couch!

Scripture says, Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Hebrews 13:2

Have a blessed day!

  1. Thank you Cindi for your wonderful suggestions and styles. I prefer to get fashion tips from you as your style is modern and comfy. To me you are a supermodel!!
I’m only 5ft tall and struggle with certain styles eg I cannot wear skirts because my legs are short & my wrist has thickened due to menopause. I, turning 50 this July and really want to look stylish without overwhelming my body.
I don’t have burgundy cords but I do have a gold pair👍Which I’ve now owned for 4 years lol
Thank you, you have helped me to reinvent them once again 🙏💕Cheers, Lisa xx

  2. Actually, the first time you posted about your burgundy cords, I ran out and bought them. Love. I asked for the teal ones for Christmas

  3. Your mother sounds a lot like my mother. Mama’s been gone 26 years but her memory remains fresh. She was kind to everyone – including a poor man in town who mostly wandered the streets and often wore bread sacks over his shoes. Most everyone avoided him, but not Mama. When she died, he came to the funeral home, looking scared and out of place. Some relatives drew back when they saw him at the door and asked what we should do. I said we would welcome him like Mama would have. I walked to the door and shook his hand and thanked him for coming. It’s what she had taught me.

  4. Awww you look like you and your sister are very close. How much younger is she to you? I have a twin sister and we are very close,we are identical and we also an older sister of 9 years. Sisters are special friends!!! <3

  5. Well that does it. The beauty for the heart quote tonight. I’m the one it was meant for. And I will reach out to that person now and stop worrying that I’m interfering. God Bless you and p.s. love the cords and bought a pair this week…wearing them to church tomorrow 🙂

  6. p.s. totally a fashion question…are your shoes comfortable enough that you can wear them through an entire day? They are so cute!

  7. Oh my goodness Cyndi girl, my very best bestie in the whole world lives in Greenville, SC! It’s a beautiful little city and even more beautiful because my dear Martha lives there!! No apologies for those burgundy cords! They look so good with everything, if I were you, I’d wear them every chance I got. You have on the the perfect strolling around Greenville outfit. You and your gorgeous sweet sister, I hope you are having a great time together! What a wonderful memory of your Mama to share with us. From everything you’ve shared with us about her, I wish that lovely, blessed lady was here to guest blog for you from time to time. Maybe she is and is speaks to us through your words; her gracious and loving daughter.

  8. Your mom sounds amazing! Just think she is cheering you and your family on…keep serving God though His LOVE! I have made a funny commitment to cheer you on after reading your blog for a couple of years and not posting. Love the burgandy cords. Keep posting them, please. I have been inspired to buy a pair of burgandy skinnies from Calvin Klein. Love them with my demin shirt, too!

  9. Your sister is beautiful like you. Are you close in age? Cyndi you look really slim. Have you lost weight? Love the outfit & will duplicate.

    1. Hey Mary,
Traci is beautiful! She is 4 years younger than me and we are super close. I have lost a little weight, I hate to say it, but it could be stress induced. This season of blogging is high stress for me and I tend to not eat. 🙁
      Not good.
      blessings,
      Cyndi

  10. You two look beautiful! I’m glad to see that you do wear your clothes repeatedly 🙂 have a great time with Traci ….

  11. I love your burgandy cords…..please keep showing us ways to wear them. You almost have me talked into them…..it is the “skinny” part that scares me:( I am a definite pear shaped body….I know you say you are pear shaped….but I don’t see it. I seem to only feel comfortable in skinny jeans if I have boots to balance out my legs:)

      1. Hey Kim,
Rack room asked me to link to their home page. You can’t order them online yet but next month you can. I’ll link to the direct shoe then.
        Blessings,
        Cyndi
