Many of you have asked about how to wear mixed prints. What is the rule? How do you know what looks good together?
So here are some tips if you’re wanting to wear mixed prints.
1. Mix black and white prints. This is an easy one. Two different prints, both black and white.
Here I’m mixing black and white prints.
2. Consider leopard print a neutral. I know that sounds weird but I think you can mix leopard print with a lot of different prints.
Here I mixed a leopard print belt with a plaid top.
3. Mix floral and stripes or polka dot and stripes.

Have you tried mixing prints? I’m sure you have something in your closet that would work!
Beauty for the Heart~~Over the last several weeks, we’ve had a small group bible study in our home on Sunday nights. We read the book, Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman. It’s really good!
The book ended with this verse, For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. 2 Chronicles 16:9
Let’s be fully committed to Him!
Have a blessed day!

Where can I find that black polka dot sweater and black and white plaid shirt?
I love mixing prints…in fact I am wearing plaid and polka dots on my blog today.
Hi Cyndi.
I mixed prints today. I wore a purple/white gingham shirt, jeans, and leopard print loafers. 🙂 Great tips. Thanks!
Another tip for mixing prints, which you were doing but perhaps didn’t realize: keep the print sizes different- small print with a big print. Prints of the same size are not visually appealing.
Thanks, Cyndi. Love them all.
Such great tips! Thanks for all your help and encouragement! Just bought a “leopard” print blouse I can see the possibilities and these tips will help style it!
This is a great guide for people who like the look of mixing prints, but are afraid to try! Thanks for breaking it down and for the reminders from Scripture each day! God bless you <3
Thank you for sharing style tips and encouraging our faith.
I wanted to ask – do you have clothing style tips for those of us who aren’t a size 2 and cannot wear legging-like stretch jeans? I look absolutely hideous and larger in stretch jeans and would like some advice.
Again, thank you for sharing fashion sense for women in their 40’s and for your sweet words of encouragment reminding us who we are – precious daughters of God.
Thanks,
m.
