What a weekend!! After three Thanksgiving meals over the last few days, I’m feeling a little stuffed this morning. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with our family.
It’s now time to transition to Christmas so I’ve started decorating. I’m usually finished by now but for some reason, I’m behind this year. Sigh.
It’s no secret, I love classic and timeless pieces, so of course I’m going to add houndstooth to my wardrobe.
I’ve had this scarf for several years and I love wearing it during the fall and winter months.
The weather was a little mild this weekend so I pulled out my open toes booties from Rack Room Shoes.

I have a lightweight houndstooth coat that always gets compliments! I tried to get the Target scarf, too, but no luck!
I bought those booties, from Rack Room, this afternoon. So cute! I’m wearing them tonight for a ladies Christmas dinner at church. I love them! Thanks, Cyndi for showing us how to dress for less without breaking the bank!
I love houndstooth! I decorated my tree this year in red, black and white. In addition to solid colored ornaments, I used black and white houndstooth ribbon and peppermint striped ornaments. I found out after I was all finished that these are the University of Alabama’s colors, and houndstooth is their signature print. ARGGGH. We are Aggies – rivals of Alabama. Oh well. Roll Tide I guess.

I can’t allow houndstooth in our house. We live in the state of Alabama but are dye hard Auburn fans! Here in this state if you wear crimson, houndstooth, drive a red or maroon vehicle, or are missing 2 or more teeth you are an Alabama fan 🙂 lol

I purchased cute houndstooth slimfit pants at Old Navy recently. They fit slim but not too tight. The ankle length worked perfect for me since most pants are too long and too many rolls just aren’t cool. I’m learning.

Love your “classic and timeless” houndstooth. Christian Dior made houndstooth his own in 2009. and almost every designer has adopted this beautiful design in some of their clothing… even the beautiful star Jaclyn Smith as in the black skirt I wore Sunday to church is the Houndstooth design. I normally wear this solid black skirt with white blouse and with the B&W scarf… but as I grew more “busty” after each pregnancy,(LOL) I stopped wearing scarfs that often. I might just have to get that scarf back out into circulation, cause I love your look with the tights !!!! 🙂
