What To Wear On New Year’s Eve

Welcome back to our 12 Days of Holiday Outfits! Today it’s What To Wear On New Year’s Eve.

What To Wear On New Year's Eve
So let’s talk about New Year’s Eve. First, we never go to a New Year’s Eve party. I know, we’re lame, I admit it. (For some reason most people don’t invite their pastor and pastor’s wife, hmm…)

We could go out to dinner but we don’t usually do that either. By the time New Year’s Eve rolls around, I’m done and a nice quiet evening sounds perfect to me.

So if I’m going to be honest, this is probably what I’ll be wearing New Year’s Eve. Wayne and I do stay up and watch the ball drop, we’re not that lame, we can stay up until midnight. 🙂

But if I did go out, I think I would wear something like this. I’ve been wanting to try some leather pants. These are from INC and have a faux leather trim down the sides. The all leather were a little much for me.

Of course I would have to wear some type of wrap or I would freeze.

Cabi has some cute clothes to choose from and I love this red top. It’s festive and would look great with black pants and some cute accessories.

Beauty For the Heart~~A good verse for the New Year, Colossians 3:15-17 (The Message)

Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.

Have a blessed day!

  1. I know you haven’t worn your hair like this for awhile, but could you please put your YouTube tutorial of how you styled your angled bob back up? Or is there anywhere else I can find it? Thank You!!

  2. My husband and I stay home most New Year’s, too. But I would love to go out somewhere this year just to be able to dress up. My daughter and son-in-law will probably be here with us so maybe we can at least go to dinner. You are pretty as a picture in your would-be New Year’s eve outfit. Maybe we can still get dressed up even if we stay home?

  3. we also prefer staying home and were pleased when our church stopped having a ny eves party (got too big) really uncomfortable driving home from our church party along with other party goers that had no been to church parties. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

  4. We also stay in-lame or not! My son and husband kick off ice fishing season first thing in the morning and our family enjoys that tradition. We might go to camp and have a nice fire and a movie but we are together, safe and sober.

  5. Cyndi, you look darling! Love the pants!! We go out to dinner and come home to watch the ball drop in NYC. which is 11:00 here and then off to bed!!:-)
Also on another note, I ordered 2 prints you suggested from Graceland. I just received them and I love and cannot wait to hang them!! Many blessings!!

  6. I don’t think that is lame at all. Staying home is what I will be doing ,too. I have to work New Year’s Day! My husband and I usually don’t see the midnight hour show up! That’s what happens when the back side of fifty comes calling! A quiet night at home with the hubby is a wonderful way to see the new year begin.

  7. Cyndi, you REALLY DO look great in everything. 😉 I *LOVE* your outfit you’d wear out, IF you went. I’m also a minister’s wife, so I understand no one inviting the minister & his family. LOL We don’t do a lot either, unless we go to a church party, which is always so, so fun! Also loved your Silent Night post yesterday. Also a firm believer in savoring the reason of Christmas. Thanks for all you do~ you’re appreciated!

  8. I too love staying home on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. For several years now I have had the Christmas decorations all down and put away by then and the house cleaned and back to normal so I can enjoy a quiet evening and day at home without the Christmas undecorating hanging over my head. Love it!

  9. Woot-Woot, looking sharp and sexy in a bit of black leather?!! Love it with the white on white blouse!
Yes, I stay at home on New Years Eve and in an outfit much like this, and hope to stay awake till midnight, not always making it though.

    1. I also have to say that I like this new sexy style on you as much as the refined lady look styles!!! You are truly a hot lady and very refined also! Love your blog and the inspiration you are to me and many others! <3 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!

  10. Cyndi you look beautiful as always. Mike and I stay home on New Year’s Eve too. Happy about you getting connected with Cabi! 🙂

  11. We stay home and do fireworks with the family. If it’s cold we have a fire in our fire pit. I usually put out a spread of easy food to snack on and we just have a get together and relax and have fun for the evening and then ring in the new year!
