What To Wear On New Year’s Day

Well, don’t faint but we’re finally finishing up the 12 Days of Holiday Outfits!!

What To Wear On New Year's Day
I know it’s taken us a little while to get through this but we thought it work better if we spread it out. Today it’s What To Wear On New Year’s Day.

Here’s what I want to be wearing on New Year’s Day! The last few weeks have been hectic and my exercise has been hit or miss. Starting January 1, I want to get back to a more regular schedule.

New Year’s Day is pretty relaxed around here. Sometimes we go see a movie or we might get together with our kids and grab a bite to eat.

If we go see a movie I dress warm because it’s usually cold in the theatre.

Beauty For the Heart~~A great verse to begin the New Year, Romans 12:1-2 from The Message….

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Dear Cyndi, I want to really thank you for sharing the 12 Days of Christmas outfits. Your style perfectly compliments my style and lifestyle, so it’s easy to reapply most of your suggestions. Combining this with the Winter challenge has been fun and I have a whole arsenal of looks to wear for all of the upcoming, and past month’s celebrations and gatherings. I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’m praying for you as well, Christmas without any Mom must be terrible, I’m still blessed to have both of my parents and I do thank God for that daily. Merry Christmas, Amy

  2. Cyndi you continue to inspire me to dress better. With that said, I just don’t like those boots, they look like something you’d wear working in the muddy garden. Dressy boots are so much better. My opinion anyway. And my goal is to get back into the gym also. It’s going to be hard. Happy holidays to you and your family, and to all your followers! Can’t wait to see the great 2015 outfits you share!!

  3. I was wondering about the 12 days… :). I understand about spreading it out, especially for 3 busy women here at Christmastime. I was afraid that I missed seeing everything.

New Years day for us is usually relaxing. We watch movies and eat black eyed peas and cornbread.

  4. Hello Cyndi,
Love your exercise outfit! Looks soft, and very pliable to move around in for any kind of exercise. Cute Military jacket too. I recently found and bought a khaki green jacket similar to this one, but haven’t worn it yet. Please remember me in your prayers as I have a severe head cold. Strep was going around at my sons office but he didn’t get it, thank the Lord, but he did bring me a present, his cold! 🙂 Looking forward to more and more outfit photos…. loving your style!!

  5. I intend to be wearing my exercise clothes, too!! I can not explain why, but I got myself into a terrible rut over the last several months, quit teaching Zumba, stopped running, and eating right… which resulted in 20 pounds…. but I started teaching Zumba again, eating right and am down 15lbs. January 1 I am going to start running again & get back to doing 5ks, I can’t explain why I let this happen, but all that matters is I am back at it & it is amazing how much better I feel. MERRY CHRISTMA & HAAPY NEW YEAR!!!! I Love your blog!!

  6. I love waiting for your blog to hit my inbox!!! I look forward to your style, beauty and grace! I love the fact that you post scriptures….keeps things real. I’m not sure if you’re interested but I’m a fitness and nutrition coach and am going to be hosting a fitness challenge group. I create a private facebook page and participants check in every day for motivation, accountability, encouragement and feedback. Send me an email if interested! We start January 5th!

  7. Hi Cyndi! I have that same jacket from Stitch Fix! Love the scarf with it. I’m not sure if you’re interested, but I’m a fitness and nutrition coach and will be running a 21 Day Fitness challenge starting January 5th!! I have a private Facebook page where participants check in daily for accountability, motivation, support and just plain fun! I’d love to have you join the group!

  8. Cyndi,
I love your posts, and always look forward to your beauty from the heart messages. They are so inspiring and calming. You are inspiring and calming! I hope you never stop blogging and I pray you continue to post what you wore pics……I absolutely love them and feel inspired by them. Thanks to you for all you do, xo Joanie 🙂

  9. I absolutely love your beauty from the heart!! That message speaks volumes in our culture today!! Rising above today’s culture and being what God wants us to be is amazing!! Blessings to you!!

  10. I get off schedule when our weekends are full. I normally do some cooking on the weekends or at least prepping so weeknight meals are easier. I did better when I had a son in the house to feed because he was right there every night wanting to eat! Now that he’s gone it’s more hit or miss, which is not a good thing. But I am thankful that the “busy” has been choir productions at church, Sunday School parties, and family. Very very very thankful. Merry Christmas!

  11. Me too on getting back to exercise! I usually like to get all the Christmas decorations down and put away on New Year’s Day. That way I feel I can wrap up Christmas and start the new year fresh. Love your blog, Cyndi! So much fun!

  12. I’m with you Cyndi, need to get back to exercise. Ballgames are on the agenda but all casual & stress free. Minimal cooking also.
