31 Days of Winter Fashion-Day 5

Hey ladies welcome to Day 5 of my 31 Days of Winter Fashion! Let’s talk gingham today.

I’ve seen a lot of gingham this winter and it looks like it is going to be around for the spring season too.

I never know what to wear with this sweater but I purchased this gingham blouse at Banana Republic and thought it would work.

  1. I too am in love with the buffalo plaid top and blue scarf. I was able to find the top on ebay but the scarf has been elusive! I love the way it is tied!
Thank you for your inspiration. 🙂

  2. Just wanted to mention that I also saw a blue scarf very similar to your pin at World Market just tonight. The price was $ 9.99. Loving the gingham and sweater combo on you!

    1. Patty,
That’s always the worst when you don’t get an item an regret it – have you checked online to see if it’s available?

  3. Thanks so much !! Love it!
Have gray plaid from target, cream vest and blue scarf! Fun find things new in my closet !
    Stay warm -8 here!!!

  4. I just found a black and white gingham flannel shirt at Kohl’s last week. It’s Croft & Barrow brand, which I normally think looks too “old lady” but I love the shirt!

    1. Hi Shannon,

Search on pinterest “ways to tie a scarf” you’ll find the best tutorials for this and tons of new ideas!

  5. What a great look- it’s like the sweater and shirt were made just for each other! I love the combination of neutrals, and while I normally don’t care for gingham, the grey is so subtle and looks perfect on you. My only gingham shirt is black and white, but now you’ve got me thinking about various sweaters I could layer over it – thanks for the new idea!

  6. Gingham is great. I bought a wonderful red gingham flannel shirt from LandsEnd that I wore repeatedly through the holidays. It was a longer length that could be worn with skinny jeans or leggings. Now I am looking for a navy gingham shirt. Your grey looks great with that sweater. Thanks for your great ideas.

  7. yes, that gingham top looks great with the sweater. Your entire outfit is really nice 🙂 it’s is 30 degrees here in NJ today and VERY WINDY! yuk! thx for the inspiration be blessed 🙂

  8. Hello Cyndi,
I started following your blog before Thanksgiving and love your ideas. I try to check it everyday to see what you come up with next. I am a middle school teacher and am struggling with wardrobe motivation. Thanks for your ideas!

  9. I’ll be on the look out for that scarf for you. I’m everyone’s personal shopper so I hope to find it this week. You look great as always!

  10. I love the mix of pattern and color block – very nice! and yes, you MUST find that blue scarf…what a beautiful shade of blue that one is!! Stay warm! It’s freezing in the midwest….=0(

  11. I like the outfit. I do have a gingham blouse but don’t where it much because I don’t like to tuck it in and it is bulky and I am petite size! But I keep trying just like you !
We are at 31 degrees here in Texas! I love cold weather! Stay warm and many blessings!!
