I can’t believe it’s Day 15 of my 31 Days of Winter Fashion! This month is flying by! Today I’m styling a sweater and white collared blouse.
I’m not sure there’s anything I love any better than a crisp white collared blouse. I’ve paired it with a turquoise sweater because I’m still trying to add color.
This one is my collared shirt from the LOFT and I added a sweater from Nordstrom. The key is buying a sweater that is short. That way the bottom of your shirt shows.

Have you tried styling a collared blouse with a sweater?
Beauty For the Heart~~I’m spending the day with Colt. It’s so fun to be with a child because we do things they like to do, and we all need to have a little fun!
“Be a child again. Flirt. Giggle. Dip your cookies in your milk. Take a nap. Say you’re sorry if you hurt someone. Chase a butterfly. Be a child again.” -Max Lucado
Do something today that makes you smile! Have a blessed day!

Just found your web site last week and I love it! So inspiring! My question is about your boots…I love them; however, I’m only 5’3″ and I’m always worried boots like these will make me look shorter and chubbier 🙂 I would love to hear your thoughts and thoughts of others! TIA.
Hey Robin! Thanks so much for stopping by! Boots can make you look shorter but I would suggest wearing boots with a heel. That helps elongate you!
Blessings,
Cyndi
Oh! I love that color on you too Cyndi! 🙂 And I agree with Colleen that your smile is so nice to see every day…I Love your blog!!! Karen S.
Cyndi – did you get your boots back?
Ha! No, I had to buy another pair!! 🙂
I love it, looks great!
I recently wore an old woolen plaid shirt under a old fair isle sweater with old thin-wale cords and knee high boots. All inspired by your posts. It was great to wear those items again and they looked so fresh worn together. Even my BF noticed and liked it. (OF course, he had gifted me the sweater!) I pulled my collar out and folded the cuffs back, but only left the back of my blouse out. I just feel too messy with it out in the front and on me it just isn’t the best look.
That outfit sounds great!!!
Cindi, I love you in this color!!!!!
Thank you Lori!!
I love your outfits and style so much. Do you have any suggestions as to where we that are a bit financially challenged should look to buy clothes? I noticed the beautiful turquoise sweater is $68 dollars at Nordstrom. I really appreciate your Christian testimony especially during these unsettled times. God bless you and your ministry.
Sincerely,
Ann
Ann~ Try TJ Maxx and Marshall’s . They always have good pricing on name brands 🙂 Hope this helps Have a great day!
I’ve found surprisingly high-end things at Gabriel Brothers for cheap! Their sales are even more amazing. Kohl’s is nother good one for their clearance. If you get on their mailing list and have their card, one can always find a deal..3 pairs of Levis for <$25 fo firsts. The Dillard's at one of my Mal's is overstock and that stuff is also CHEAP, but high quality. I wouldn't discount Thrift stores; some even get overstock from big name stores. St Vincent de Paul is very careful about cleaning their items.
Do you wear most of these outfits/boots to work as a dental hygienist?
Colleen I only work as a dh on Mondays and will probably have to let that go. This blog has become my dream job. 🙂
I’m so happy that WIG&B is your dream job! You are a wonderful fresh smile to click onto each day! So thankful you share all your loveliness inside and out.
Very Cute! I love the pop of color. I went to the Nordstrom site from your link and It states that the sweater runs large and to order a size Down. Just wondering if you found this to be true and ordered down
Hmm Kate, I ordered a small and it fits perfect. I usually wear a small.
Hope that helps!
Cyndi
I love a white blouse under a sweater, but I only like to see the collar and cuffs I don’t like the blouse sticking out the bottom.
Love this! The color is amazing!
Love this outfit!! My sweaters have all seemed to get shorter over the years!
