Happy Hump day!! It’s Day 15 of my 28 Days of Spring Fashion and today I’m styling a striped dress from Old Navy.
I don’t know what it is about stripes lately, but I keep gravitating toward them. I was going to say today is it, but I bought a striped maxi skirt. Yikes!
One of the keys, is to wear narrow stripes not wide stripes. So at least my stripes are narrow. I think this dress will also be great for summer. It’s comfortable and I could wear it without the leggings and the denim jacket. I could add my converse sneakers or a cute pair of loafers.
I saw yesterday on The Today show that bracelets are very “in”. The more you wear the better! Rings are also “in” but I don’t like to wear them on every finger, they bother me.

I love stripes! I have the stripe skirt from Target, but haven’t worn it yet. I may have to look at the dress from Old Navy now! It looks great with leggings and a denim jacket. The shoes really gives it that needed “ump”!! Love it all!

I would really like this without the leggings. Or with booties. It’s the ankle skin showing that I don’t like. I think if you’re going to wear leggings under a dress, the cover up the feet/ankle area. You always look so cute in a denim jacket.
You look so cute in stripes, but I just can’t get comfortable wearing them. I have broad shoulders, and tend to be pretty hippy,so I never like to accentuate that. Now, vertical stripes might be a different thing entirely.

Very cute! Love it! There must be something in the water or air as I too am going crazy for stripes and I have never been a fan of them. Just purchased my 4th striped top and eyeing the 5th. All in different colors and styles of course!

How did the sizing run on this dress? Sometimes I find Old Navy is a little small…but sometimes it’s my normal size.

Hi, Cyndi, you look fabulous! I have this same dress from Old Navy as well and am planning on wearing it to work tomorrow. I think I’ll do my denim jacket also, since it pairs well with the dress. I’ll probably do black flats instead for tomorrow. Have a wonderful evening!

Cute outfit! I love stripes too. I received my periwinkle converse I ordered after seeing yours and I absolutely love them. Being recently retired I need more casual outfits so I am anxious to see the different outfits you will use with your converse. Thank you so much for your fashion inspiration!

I’m having the same problem opening the email.
I bought the same dress from Old Navy about 2 weeks ago. I have not worn it yet. Was waiting for warmer weather. I thought I would wear it with loafers or sandals. I did think a jean jacket or scarf would look cute with it. Never thought of wearing it with leggings. How cute!

Cindi, Just to let you know, I’ve been having trouble with your website the past couple of days. When I open your “Walking in Grace and Beauty”, I see your picture and it always says “Click here to read the rest of the post” which it always has in the past. However the past 3-4 days when I click on to it, it won’t open. I had to go into an archive post I’ve saved in order to read the current past three days of your Blog.
Cute outfit. I love stripes also but find asymmetrical stripes rather than horizontal stripes on my lower half are more flattering and help to elongate my petite frame.

I’ve been having the exact same problem. Also, just today, the post and pictures are broken up with many ads and pictures between sections. Is anyone else encountering this problem? They all say “sponsored”. But I’ve never seen them break up the post like this. Just letting you know.

Would you wear a blue or read striped dresses with the black leggings or would you go with another color? Love the outfit, but didn’t want too much black in my wardrobe.

I love stripes, especially blue and white. It doesn’t get better than a crisp striped shirt with jeans and espadrilles.

Love this outfit. I absolutely love stripes and have several pieces of clothing to express my love for them. Although my legs happen to be an asset for me, I think the idea of putting leggings with a stripped dress is really fun and I plan to do this as we live in the north central part of the U.S. where spring tends to arrive a bit later. So, this will be a fun way to transition to the warmer weather and still get to wear some fun spring clothes.
