28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 22)

It’s Day 22 of my 28 Days of Spring Fashion and I’m styling my Anthropologie tunic again.

First, if you follow basketball at all, you might know that the Kentucky Wildcats are still in the NCAA tournament and they play tonight. Of course, I have to wear blue, the whole state is pretty much in blue today!

I also had to leave the house early this morning. My husband had a doctor’s appointment and I wanted to go with him. He has recently lost 25 pounds. Yay!

Because of his weight loss, he felt a knot in his chest that he hadn’t felt before, or at least not for a long time. I thought it was nothing but I wanted to go with him just to be sure.

I don’t know if I have mentioned this before, but my husband had testicular cancer in September 2000 so we don’t take bumps lightly. Thankfully it was nothing, he’s just feeling his bones again since he’s lost some weight! 🙂

Okay, back in February I shared this top from Anthropologie. I thought it would be a great top to wear in cold weather but it could also transition into spring.

I took the scarf off and instead of wearing boots, I am wearing my leopard print flats from Target. Several of you have asked if the flats are comfortable. I have been wearing them for several hours and I think they feel pretty good. I also think they look like a better quality shoe than Target. Does that make sense?

Let’s talk handbags! I’m so boring when it comes to a handbag. I do not like changing them all the time, so I typically stick with a neutral color. I found this tan hobo handbag at The Limited. Hobo bags are very popular right now and the neutral color will go with everything. It’s also on sale for $29.98!

One of the blogs I follow was carrying a neutral purse today so it made me feel better!

Here you go, one tunic styled two different ways!

Lastly, I’ve also gotten several emails about what exercises I do. Let me say, I do not like exercising!

But, I do think it’s important. Right now, I’m participating in a 21 Day Fix with Beachbody. I’m so sore I’m limping, but they promise me I’m going to have a Beachbody at the end of the 21 days. Ha!!

If it goes well, I would love for us to possibly do a challenge together. We could hold each other accountable, and have a Facebook group together. It’s all about eating healthy and exercising!

What do you all think, would you be interested in something like this?

If you’re new around here, Welcome! I’d love for you to subscribe to my blog through email. You can also follow me on social media. I’m on FacebookInstagram and Pinterest!

Beauty For the Heart~~Yesterday we talked about GRACE in our marriages. I think it struck a chord with many of you because I received several emails. GRACE in our marriage can be difficult. We want to be right. We don’t want to be the one to say I’m sorry.

James 4:6 says, And he gives GRACE generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives GRACE to the humble.”

Did you know we are up against God when we are prideful?? God opposes the proud! I don’t know about you but I don’t want that.

Do you ever let pride get in the way of your marriage? I know I do!

Have a blessed day!

  1. I love your posts, I love your spirit! The style is trendy for an adult woman with values. I was wondering how your husband is losing weight.

  2. Hi Cindy,
Wish your cats good luck. I’m wearing RED today pulling for my Wolfpack. I like to read other blogs you like but I can’t find them on your site. Any help there? Love the blue on you. Definitely your color.

  3. I feel like saying “duh”. After missing your email a couple of days ago and reading all the comments on others that missed it and how they just logged on to your site I have done the same so now everyday I can get even if I miss the email. I just put in my favorites. Again “duh”. 🙂

  4. What a coincidence! I’m wearing my blue today as well……my DUKE BLUE! (And yes I know I’m reading this a day late.) #goduke

  5. Cyndi, I love all the clothes you model and I have copied several to my Pinterest page for future reference. I am also very interested in being a part of a healthy eating/exercising group. I belong to a Cardio Club and do Zumba, Pioxing, Insanity and Yoga but its always nice to share with other ladies. Maybe we could share healthy recipes as well. So glad I found your blog. it has become an important part of my day!

    1. Thank you so much Kay for following along! And be sure to check my Pinterest board – I have a few pins of my favorite healthy meals I cook up!

      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  6. I love the idea about the workout challenge, but after looking at the workout site you recommended, I wanted to recommend another site: http://www.fit2b.us….here is a quote from their website…
“Two things make us radically different than any other online fitness video provider: … healing from abdominal trauma yet ready to exercise without undoing their therapy. … mom who films in beautiful homes in modest attire with lyric-free music.”
They also now have DVDs that you can purchase from Amazon.

  7. Cindy, Thanks for the ideas on how to wear a tunic. Hope you enjoy your Beachbody workout. I do P90X3 and LOVE IT!!! I like having a girly six pack. Thank you for your words or encouragement and faithfulness to the Lord. It is a comfort and strength in the days we live in.

  8. Good job Wayne! And I’m happy to hear all was well with the check up. Cyndi, I love that tunic. Blue is my favorite color – all shades! Lol. I have some black leggings and a denim/chambray type tunic that I wore in the winter with riding boots. Any ideas on how I could transition into a spring like outfit, while the weather is still cool? Thanks!

  9. I would love the healthy eating/challenge and Facebook page – I need all the encouragement I can get!!!!

  10. Love this bright! I have several pairs of target flats and love them. I can wear them all day. They are so affordable! I bought a couple pairs of Nine West flats last year at Marshalls. One pair is super comfy and the other pair killed my feet. I was not able to wear anything but tennis shoes for a couple of days.

  11. Great job Wayne! Love that color blue….yes to the 21 day challenge FB group 😉 great idea Cyndi. All about that grace , bout that grace! 😉

  12. Cindy,
You look great-love the blue on you. So glad to hear your husband is ok.
I didn’t get the e:mail as early as usual but did see your post on Facebook, so I got to see your style post there first

  13. Have any of you ladies heard of The Daniel Plan? I’m in the second week of it and the weight is already coming off. The Daniel Plan is basically whole foods/clean eating. NO processed foods and no refined sugars!! It’s not a diet, but a lifestyle change.

Cyndi, you look pretty as usual, and I’m thankful your husband is fine. Kuddos to him with his weight loss!!

  14. You look adorable! So glad to hear the news about Wayne. And he’s lost 25 pounds? Wow!

I think your Facebook exercise challenge is a great idea. I could use some accountability!

What a year to be a Kentucky basketball fan! I’m sure y’all are having a great time. It’s a good year to be a Duke fan, too, although we’ve been beaten several times already. Such a nice group of players, though. I’ve loved following Duke basketball ever since Will first decided to go to Duke–I always feels like the players are my boys! 🙂

  15. Those leopard flats are Sam & Libby, so yes, they are a better quality than most Target brands. I liked them, but the 9 was too small and the 9.5, too large! 🙁 I’m still looking for some great leopard flats! Thank you for helping me to be brave and try new styles! I’m getting so many compliments, and I feel so pretty. I’ve lost 28 lbs since mid-December, and getting to guy new clothes that fit is fun! Thank you, too, for always pointing/reminding us that His grace & what He thinks of us is what makes us beautiful. 🙂

  16. I would LOVE to do a workout group. I hate to exercise so I really need some inspiration. Love your site. I went spring shopping over spring break, (I’m a 51 year young teacher), and I bought five outfits inspired after your site. So much fun.

  17. Cyndi, you just get more gorgeous with each post. I don’t have a Facebook account, but would be interested in a challenge.

  18. Like others, I didn’t get your email today. Had to log onto website. I’m Currently doing the 21 day challenge. I don’t need to loose much weight maybe 5-7 pounds. I try to work out daily. I wanted to do this 21 day fix to tone up. Kettlebells are a great workout too!
    GO CATS!

  19. Like others have mentioned, I didn’t receive your email today, so I went to the website & saw you posted already. Love that royal blue tunic, nice & bright. Looks very comfy! Yes to the exercise, need some inspiration to get moving. Still being challenged by snow being on our walking areas…..

  20. The Beachbody programs are great, especially for anyone new to exercise and/ or anyone that needs/wants accountability. I have done many of the programs and loved them. T25 was one of my favorites! I was a Beachbody Coach for a while too. Great company. I gave it up because I missed the gym and lifting heavier weights. I’m considering doing Body Beast over the summer, so I don’t have to drag my daughter off to the gym everyday. 🙂

  21. I didn’t get a notice by e-mail today of your post for 3/26/15. When I realized it, I just signed on and there you were in that beautiful blue tunic. I love your leopard print flats also.

  22. I’d love to be part of an exercise challenge! I do the 21 Day Fix and drink the Shakeology once a day!

  23. HI Cyndi, an exercise and healthy living group sounds great. I’m a weight watcher gal that lost 35 lbs in 2012 and have kept it off, through those good habits and a regular exercise. I love to talk to people about both. Have a blessed day, this color looks fantastic on you. I’m glad you styled it, i have a tunic i bought for the GYPO Winter/Holiday challenge that i haven’t worn for a while, I’ll pull it out tomorrow!

  24. I would love a realistic exercise accountability group! I do exercise everyday (nothing radical) …but, on those days I want to skip…an accountability group would be really terrific.
I enjoyed the essential oils class last night; but, I’m a goob and can’t figure how to find it again and see some of the videos! Help?
And….Go Wildcats!! We’re big fans in Florida! All my husband’s peeps from Western KY!

  25. I would love to do an exercise challenge! That’s one area where I still struggle, and have been praying about. I think I am just lazy LOL.

  26. What size tunic are you wearing? We appear to be about the same size and can’t decide between the S or M. Thank you

    1. Same for me. :I run most days, but need inspiration for more. I try to get friends to join me, but no one is interested. Avirtual group would be just as good, I think.
