28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 25)

Easter Sunday is quickly approaching so I thought I would share what I’m wearing to church. It’s Day 25 of my 28 Days of Spring Fashion.

Okay, here is the thing, Easter can be a little chilly in Kentucky. I have seen several Easters with snow but this year the weather looks pretty good. Yay!

Since it’s chilly in the  morning, I thought I would wear a top with sleeves. I have also been wanting to style a pair of flare leg dress pants so I thought these would be perfect for Easter Sunday.

28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 25)
A lot of you ask if I can get a picture of my back side. So. not. easy. when you take your own pictures but here you go. My hair is still cut with a slight angle, just a little longer. I have no idea where I’m going with my hair. Time will tell. 🙂

28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 25)
If you’re looking for a classy nude heel, these are the ones for you!! I am in love with these from JCPenney. They’re pretty and budget friendly. Perfect combination!

28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 25)
I tried to snap these pictures early because the wind is going to pick up later in the afternoon but I think it’s coming earlier than expected. Barely got these taken!

28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 25)
I’m not going to wear the coral bracelet with this outfit on Sunday. I thought it would look good, but I think it’s too much with the pearl necklace. Oh well, you live and learn!

28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 25)

Have you worn any flare leg pants yet? These pants from The Limited have a slight flare which I like. They are flattering for most body types.

If you’re new around here, Welcome! I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog.

  1. I love this outfit! The pants, blouse and necklace are so classic! Plus I love, love, love this haircut on you! It it so cute, bouncy and youthful on you and cooperates with this cut perfectly. I wish my hair would do this. You are always so lovely!

  2. Yea for the flare leg pants! I have heavy thighs and just cannot wear the skinny leg styles. They can’t be gone soon enough for me, but they sure look cute on you!

  3. I feel like a major stalker! Do you know I actually told my StitchFix stylist to check out your Pinterest page and your blog when she is styling for me because I absolutely love your style and want to be like you when I grow up?? LOL The only difference is you wear shorts (summer) and I don’t like my legs well enough for them! I am going to give maxi skirts/dresses a try this summer. My DIL wears them all the time and they look fab on her — I don’t think I am too old for them do you? Even though you don’t like them, would love to see you style one sometime. I think I am growing my hair out too. I want to be able to put it up during the hot Ohio summers and can’t do that anymore. Keep the styles coming! 🙂

  4. Can’t tell you how much you have influenced me. 🙂 After I style an outfit, I think “Cyndi would approve!” haha! Love your selection for Easter. The colors are very flattering and cheerful. I, too, love the outfit with or without the coral bracelet.

  5. I was thrilled to see that you are wearing pants on Easter. I really don’t like wearing dresses because I don’t like my legs. I feel like I am the only woman in the world who wears pants on Easter Sunday and I’ve been feeling bad about not wearing a traditional Easter dress. I am going to wear black pants with an aqua cardigan, also a springy color. Thank you for making me feel like I’m not alone with this Easter choice.

    1. Aimee, All pants here for Easter, with the weather being so unpredictable, I know if I got a dress it would probably snow on me!

      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  6. Never tried pants from the Limited. How do they work for taller people. I’m 5 9 and many times pants look strange if they are not long enough?

    1. The Limited is awesome for pants! It’s really the only place I buy dress pants. They have so many different pant fits and lengths. If you open a store card they also hem for free. My waist is about 2 sizes smaller than my back side, but the Lexie fits me so well that I can order online. They don’t carry every fit in every size and length in the store, but I trusted one of the sales people and ordered. I hadn’t shopped at the Limited for 25 years, but I love it now!

  7. I have followed your blog for quite a while now, and the more I look at this outfit the more I think it’s your best outfit ever. Ever. The best.

  8. Love the outfit…. Keep the coral bracelet! Trying to find those heels on JCP website. Happy Easter/ Resurrection Sunday. 🙂

  9. You are so classy, Cyndi! I love this outfit so much. I haven’t thought about what I’m wearing for Easter Sunday yet and I need to get on the ball! 😉 Thanks so much for a great blog that is trendy, modest & centered on Christ. I so appreciate it.

  10. This outfit looks so nice, perfect for a chilly Easter, love the color of the blouse and I agree the flare leg pants are very flattering, I definitely need a pair. Your hair looks great, I feel the same way about my hair, I’ll have it trimmed a good bit then let it grow right back out, lol, have a great night 🙂

  11. I LOVE this outfit and I agree with the others…KEEP the bracelet!!
You’re a beautiful woman and I really appreciate the way you pair all prices in each outfit. Thank you!!
    Happy Easter!!
    He Is Risen!!!

  12. You look beautiful Cyndi! The pants are super flattering and super slenderizing! 🙂 (Not that you need it).

Happy Easter to you and your family.

    Gina

  13. Cyndi, I love your outfit, the color is beautiful on you and very springy. Love the flare leg pants, they are a nice change up from all of the skinny jeans/pants. I agree, they are flattering on most of us! Also, your outfit with the green jacket (yesterday or the day before) was perfect for you, I too love the green and blue together. It has been a good fashion week for you!

  14. Gorgeous Spring color and outfit! I vote to keep the coral bracelet! It pulls your outfit together and adds a little pop of complimentary interest! Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday!

  15. I like the coral bracelet but if you wanted to eliminate something you might remove the spiky bracelet.

This is a great outfit. I like it with the nude shoes. Very classy.

Can you say what lipstick you were wearing in these photos?

  16. Cyndi, I think you look great! Coral is my spring and summer color. It’s going to be chilly in GA on Easter morning, 48 degrees with sun. I’m wearing my dress anyway! I do love your flared pants, though! The babble necklace looks great and so does the bracelet

  17. So pretty Cyndi and I would wear this to work. I’m planning to wear a couple of my pieces from th series you did on Target shopping. I’ll wear the floral tank, a bright cardi I found at JCPenney and my dress black pencil skirt or maybe pants. Thanks for your ideas, spirit, and honesty in sharing your life with us. I’ve been praying for your daughter and Grandson. Amy

  18. Love this color. In fact I’m wearing this color top today. The necklace is fabulous. And the pants are very flattering.
Thanks for sharing your style with us. I always look forward to your posts!

  19. I am very old school (never wear white after Labor Day, no opened toe shoes before Easter or after Labor Day, etc.), but am slowly evolving…one of my ‘issues’ is that I’ve always heard your shoes should never be lighter than your pants/skirt/dress…but I LOVE the nude with the dark pants – looks very nice and classy. I’m shopping for nudes this weekend! 🙂
Thanks for sharing…and slowly but surely teaching this old dog new tricks!

    1. Shannon, I also discovered nude pumps from Cyndi and Get Your Pretty On when they partnered up for “Build your wardrobe basics” challenge in the Fall. I’m in love with mine. In the fall they pointed us to Payless, where I hadn’t shopped for years. Oh my, they are so lovely and really comfortable. Amy

      1. Same with me, Amy! I didn’t have nude heels before the Basics challenge but love them now. Especially with dark wash jeans! Makes me instantly feel so pulled together and polished. 🙂

        1. Have to agree with everyone here. And another thing I love about nude heels or flats is they make your legs appear longer!

    2. I have never heard the fashion rule that your shoes cannot be lighter than the dress or pants. I live in the Midwest. We must not have that rule in this part of the country.

What I have heard is that shoes should not be lighter than your stockings, and I am 100% on board with that. I absolutely do not care for the look of dark hose/stockings paired with light shoes.

  20. So pretty! I’m 58 and plus size, but most of your styles can be tweaked for me too. I love your devotions too!

  21. Pretty in pink! I too think the bracelet looks fine Love the pants and heels too. FYI, When i opened this on my phone, there are TONS of pop up ads. State Farm, Pizza, Zulilly to name a few. Have a blessed day Cyndi. Thx for sharing with us 😉

  22. I love this outfit!! And I vote – keep the bracelet. I don’t think it’s too much. It blends in with the top. I love that color and the flared pants and shoes are perfect. You’re knocking it out of the park this week!!

  23. Love the coral! And of course, you certainly do justice to clothing! I do like the bracelet though. As far as flare leg pants, love the style. I’ve been buying my dressy pants at Christopher & Banks. They have a fit & style for everyone. Since I’m a curvy 14-16, The Limited doesn’t work for me. However, at C & B, they have a huge combination of styles & fits. I wait until they have the 40% off sale & stock up if I see something in a variety of colors. I’ve found the quality of the fabric to hold up well. And as always, I enjoy reading your Grace for the Heart!

      1. I agree ladies….I LOVE Christopher and Banks! If you sign up to be a model at their in store fashion shows you get 40-50% discount! Next event is April 18th…check in with your favorite location!

        1. You are so right Sue & Amy. I’m a little self conscious to model at the Fashion Show, but I assist with the show & volunteer to be a greeter when they have special events. And they still give me the discount! Once you know your local C & B manager & staff, you’re in!

  24. I love this & even like bracelet. Either way you look great. I got some nude heels from pay less recently. I love them. Only wear on Sunday though. My two hour heels!

  25. It warms my heart every day to see your style for women over 40. I have learned a lot and have branched out on my style. Beauty for the heart is always inspiring also, so thank you!

  26. THIS is my favorite of all the outfits! I am a first grade teacher and would definitely wear this to work!
