28 Days Of Spring Fashion Review

Happy Hump Day! I’m always glad to finish a series, and now that it’s over, I’m already thinking of the next one!

Many of you asked if I would put them all on one page so here is my review of the 28 Days of Spring Fashion. There were definitely some HITS and some MISSES.

The misses wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t all over the internet! Ugh!

Beauty For the Heart~~Let’s recognize him as the Lord. Let’s keep trying to know him. You can be sure the sun will rise. And you can be just as sure the Lord will appear. He will come to renew us like the winter rains. He will be like the spring rains that water the earth.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cyndi,

Your outfits are seriously THE BEST! I don’t see any “misses” in the bunch! You have given me so many ideas for styling pieces I already have that are similar to yours. I love your style. I agree with an earlier poster who asked to see how you organize all of your clothes, shoes, and accessories. Do you have a “system” for keeping track of everything? Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks and have a blessed weekend!

  2. Serious question, you have so many pieces of clothing and scarves (ect…) how in the world do you organize them? I want to know when you have a garage sale or what consignment shop you take your things to. I really do enjoy your blog.

  3. Loved them all!!! I think my favorite two are the pink dress ans blue dress. I love those floral heels. If I had somewhere to wear them, I would be ordering them. Have a lovely weekend!

  4. I love how everyone has favourites and they’re mostly different to mine! I love you in the fuschia dress and flare pants….both are SOOOOO slimming. I see maybe one miss and a couple of neutrals. the rest are pluses! it’s wonderful seeing them together.

    1. I’m not Cyndi so my opinion may not be valuable, but I AM 62, and I think we over-sixties can wear any of these outfits with careful attention to the pants. I believe skinny jeans can be worn while avoiding jeggings or leggings in most cases. I’m sure there are exceptions to that and in some cases those might look alright. And that is just my opinion. Jackets, scarves, blouses, tops, skirts – to me those are all appropriate for any age. I believe we need to wear the length skirt that is most flattering on our bodies, not necessarily according to our age.

  5. Hi Cyndi,
Everything looks so pretty on you. My Fav’s are the Pink & Blue dress and also the maxi skirt w/denim jacket. Can you give us an updates on the fit program you’re doing?

  6. Hi Cyndi,

As one of your many viewers, YOU ROCK EVERYTHING you put on! I believe you would look GREAT in a Burlap Sack! Thank you for encouraging all of us 40 and up women! Your Godly and Worldly beauty truly is a blessing!

Can you please share what type of jeans you wear?

Thank you for all you do! Have a great day! XO

    1. Hey Loretta, if you look at any of my posts, I list the jeans I wear under my picture. If you click the link it takes you to the site.
I wear Wit and Wisdom jeans, Target jeans and I love Loft jeans.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  7. Cyndi, My absolute fav are 9, 21, and 23. I have to say that for me, that white lace top is the bomb! Earlier I looked back over the years of your blog and you’ve grown and changed. It’s fun to look at then and now

  8. Really cute series; I might have to print it out.

Love how your lawn changed during the month…. ours are finally green, in Michigan, too.

    1. Hey Julie!
I didn’t like #10 or #11. I think the denim dress needs a different belt, and I think I will wear flats.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  9. Hi Cyndi.

I really liked 1, 3, 4, 9, 17, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26 and 28. I think 20 and 26 were by far my favorites. You always look cute, even if you think your outfit is a miss. 🙂 Thanks for sharing this series with us.

  10. Cyndi!
Loved this segment. 🙂 I’ve used many stylings as inspiration! Also… regarding the ‘misses’. I’d only refer to them as ‘just barely missed misses’. No disasters! Aaaaannnnddd…your ‘just barely missed misses’ make me feel so much better about my own. I think – Hey…like Cyndi, I’m still stinkin’ pretty – even in my ‘just barely missed misses outfits!’ haha! Perhaps that’s how God was using you on those days (which were NOT many at ALL!!) He is definitely using you as a wonderful encourager. What a blessing you are. Thank you so much for your commitment to this blog and for sharing your gifts with the rest of us.

    God Bless!
    ~Rochelle

  11. Cyndi I found your blog in January and you have no idea how you have changed my life for the better. I am a 48 year old pastor’s wife with no fashion sense. Now I can just copy what you do and I am transformed from frumpy nerd to sharp. I am a thrift store nut. I look at your blog and then hunt for similar things at thrift stores. I have found tons of Ann Taylor Loft tops and bottoms along with Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, New York and co. It’s amazing what I am finding now that you are guiding me on what I need to look for. Thank you for sharing your gift of fashion with me.

  12. Cyndi – I need some spring fashion advice! A friend recently encouraged me to wear a long sleeved/blue/plaid dress shirt with a pair of ecru golf shorts… TO CHURCH. I think a 4 year old child could pull off this look – maybe with a front tuck and boat shoes, but would this be appropriate for an adult man?!? I figured you would know best! Hopefully you’ll tell me that my friend has awful fashion sense and I should stick to khakis. Thanks.

    1. Because I know your friend well (wink), I think she is right in her fashion sense.
She has a great sense of knowing how to put things together (she has a mother who taught her well)!
Why not try it?? You might be pleasantly surprised.
      Have a great day!!!
      Cyndi

  13. Perhaps your misses were how a garment felt on. You know that feeling when the fit is great….and when it Is off? Others may not know it but the person in the off fitting/feeling garment does. Just a thought.

  14. Cyndi, thanks for all the inspiration! You always look great! Love the ideas you have given us..and the ways you encourage us in our spiritual walk. I know you show handbags with some of your outfits but I was wondering if you could show us what you carry eveyday? Do you change handbags to go with each outfit? I am terrible about grabing the same bag everyday and just changing it out when I get dressed up. Thank you for all that you share with us.

  15. If anyone said you had a MISS, don’t believe them (even if you think you had a miss). All these outfits are winners as far as I’m concerned!

  16. I didn’t see misses either!! You look great in all outfits! I bought the Old Navy stripe dress…planning to wear it with leggings & my leggings tomorrow. Still looking for a black & white stripe maxi skirt. I appreciate all of your style ideas! Have a blessed & happy day!
