Welcome to Day 2 of my 26 Days of Summer Fashion. One of the things I try to do during my summer fashion, is share some summer trends with you.
Last year, I wasn’t thrilled with the trends, but this year there are so many good ones and they’re trends women over 40 can wear.
For example the embroidered trend has taken off. While at first I didn’t know if I wanted to wear it because it brings back memories of something my grandmother would wear. (Ahem, yes I know I’m a grandmother too but I don’t want to dress like one, thank you very much! 🙂 )
Anyway, I’ve decided to jump in on this trend. This top (thml brand) came in my recent Stitch Fix box and I immediately fell in love with it.
I also found this straw bag at Gap, I like a tote for everyday. I have my computer with me a lot and I can pop it in this tote and I’m good to go.

is the embroidery a detachable for laundering or is it a yoke ? Glad to see there are others preferring some sleeves. Just feel more balanced and finished somehow.

This outfit looks great on you! I love the embroidered trend, even found a cute embroidered top at my local Tractor Supply! :). For me, I prefer sleeves, but this top is so cute I could throw a thin cardigan on over it and go.
I love the layered necklace look, but do you find the different chains getting tangled up throughout the day?
I, too, have tried to layer necklaces this spring, but find they become a knotted mess by the end of the work day. Is there a secret to layering necklaces that i am missing?

I find myself, often, going back to times when money was much more abundant in my life and “missing” it, but I need to focus on what is right here in my life now.
