26 Days of Summer Fashion (Day 17)

Hey there ladies! It’s Day 17 of my 26 Days of Summer Fashion. I’m cheating today and sharing summer fashion from some other bloggers. It’s fun to see how other women are styling their outfits.

It’s also pouring down rain from that tropical storm and it’s windy so I decided to skip my pictures. This weather makes me lazy which is not good, I have quite a few things I need to get done today so I’m going to need extra coffee!

Don’t forget about my giveaway! It ends tonight and the winner will be contacted and announced on Monday.

Beauty for the Heart~~Being an over 40 blogger, I talk a lot about products that can help us have a youthful glow and help with wrinkles. But the most important way to have a healthy glow is to start on the inside.

A relationship with Christ is where true beauty is found. I love this quote, “Joy is the best makeup” and we can only get that kind of joy with Jesus.

John 15:11 says, I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!

Have a blessed and joyful Saturday!

  1. I had to run out to Target and find the adorable white dress that you featured. It is wonderful! A great staple piece that will serve from spring to early fall. Thanks for posting it!

  2. Cyndi – Thanks for featuring our blog twotakeonstyle.com this past weekend. Kate and I have lots of fun coomparing (and sometimes sharing) our wardrobes and the blog keeps us close though we are 2500 miles apart! Jeanne

  3. Cyndie – Thanks for featuring twotakeonstyle.com on your blog this past weekend. We have a lot of fun coomparing (andsometimes sharing) our wardrobes and the blog keeps us close since we live 2500 miles apart! Jeanne

  4. Hi Cyndi,
I have enjoyed everyone of your blogs for summer fashion!!
I gather ideas and tips, and love the Beauty for the Heart also!!
Keep up this wonderful creative blog… and close walk with Christ!

  5. Love, love, love that Gucci belt from The Jacket Society Blog. 🙂 Wish those type of accessories were within my budget, along with the famous Hermes belt.

    Thanks for sharing!

  6. Thank you for sharing the other blogs Cyndi! I hope your husband and all of the earthly fathers have a blessed Fathers Day! Today was spent doing laundry and a little cleaning. Today is my moms 88th birthday, so I did cook her breakfast and we are having a special dinner – shrimp, cole slaw, & rice. Since my husband & I are on Atkins, I bought a big chocolate & raspberry cupcake from Publix for mom, instead of a cake. Of course tomorrow is Fathers Day & yesterday our granddaughter turned 16.
Have a blessed rusty of the weekend!

  7. The the “joy” quote and scripture. So true. I’ve been shopping away today for our church’s VBS this week!! 430 kids, 280 volunteers. 5 1/2 shopping carts of supplies … Phew!! I’m tired need more coffee too! Thx for sharing the other bloggers today. Cute!

  8. Cyndi, I bought a pair of wedges. I asked my husband if they looked too much like a teenager would wear. He said no they are sexy. However I know my daughter will want to borrow them. Lol

  9. happy fathers day for your hubby Wayne. it would be so nice for the weather to spread out some of that moisture so the drought ridden states could absorb some of the flooded folks overflow. Did you happen to see the testimony the lady that spotted the Charleston murderer ??How wonderful to see someone boldly proclaiming His hand in her life and being used by Him to track the evil down. I am seeing more and more of these encouragements as we pray for revival.

    1. Brenda, I did. I couldn’t agree more! I saw a quote earlier from a preacher that stated (paraphrase): There are no black churches. There are no white churches. All churches are RED. Red from being washed in the blood of Jesus.

      1. thanks Brandye for the reply. I missed the one you quoted. How beautiful. We were talking last evening about our church praying for revival and that perhaps these are the beautiful signs/steps toward it and that while we may be thinking about a huge massive meeting when we think revival we should be watching and rejoicing about these happenings. When was the last time we saw someone so boldly proclaiming on a cable news program. Praise Him.

  10. It’s my niece’s wedding today! We’re over-the-moon excited!
I’ve lost 100 pounds over the last 3 years and I have a new dress – I haven’t worn a dress in a very long time. My girls have new dresses too and my son (who’s 21) still doesn’t know what he’s wearing and probably doesn’t care that much. 🙂

  11. Fun to visit other Blogs! Today my daughter and I are planning our Father’s Day celebration for her Dad (my Hubby) and her husband and two children. We’re going to make Fondu tomorrow afternoon for our fellas and let the kids swim in our backyard! It’s so fun to share in the planning and preparations with my daughter in honoring our husbands/fathers! The Beauty for the Heart today is perfect to keep in the forefront of my thoughts! Have a blessed weekend Cyndi!

  12. Like all of us, I am praying for Charleston. We will never heal our country without Jesus. Until we all see each other as the children of God. As for Saturday plans, Zumba is always on my list! How can you not love partying like it is 930 pm at 930 am! Zumba people are my people, they are happy, a little crazy, and not really concerned what the person next to them thinks of their bad dancing (at least my dancing is really bad!) Now I am going to make blueberry pie, peach pie and lemon icebox pie for the best stinkin husband and father on the planet, my fabulous husband of 25 years!
