Laughter and a Linky Party!

Good morning! I wanted to continue with my Priorities for a Healthy Marriage.

I’ve talked about putting Christ first and celebrating your differences. Today I wanted to share the importance of laughter in your marriage.

Several months ago I wrote a post titled,  Laughter…..it does a marriage good! Laughter has been an important part of our marriage.

I love to laugh!! If I’m totally honest with you the last two years since losing Mom I’ve probably laughed a lot less and my husband has told me on numerous occasions he misses my laughter.

I finally feel like I’m starting to laugh again. Yeah! Life is not always easy and we certainly have lots of things to be serious about but…….it’s good to find humor in the routine, in a funny movie or in my case some crazy things I get myself into!

There are even statistics that suggest laughing can be as good for you as exercise. Wow! I wish I could just laugh instead of working out!

So when’s the last time you and your spouse laughed? I mean a good old belly laugh!

Don’t let Satan steal your joy……..Laugh!!

Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The LORD has done great things for them.” Psalm 126:2

  2. Cyndi,

Thank you for hosting such a sweet party. I am proof positive that there are smiles and laughter left in life after suffering a loss. Part of it is knowing it’s not goodbye, just ‘see you later’.

  3. Cyndi, Thanks so much for doing this. I was excited to join this party. However, I somehow messed up with my thumbnail and it doesn’t even go to the post I wanted it to go to. I don’t know what happened. Hopefully I will do better next time! Sorry. Gail

  4. Thanks for hosting Cyndi. I hope my post was an appropriate one to link up. 🙂 It’s nice to read others’ words of encouragement!

  5. Cyndi, thanks so much for hosting this linky!!! I love to read and write devotional thoughts/post that will encourage others and myself. I really appreciate the opportunity to share one today – mine is #2. And I agree with you on the important of LAUGHTER! Laughter is so, so important to me as well and we laugh a bunch in our family! I have chronic migrain (almost daily pain for 10 ys now), but I still find reasons to be thankful and to laugh each and every day! Praise Him! Love your blog – you’re changing the world!!!!!
