Happy Mother’s Day!

I shared this picture and these words on my facebook page yesterday and I wanted to share it with you too.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have to say I would love to have one more hug from my Mom, one more time to hear her say “I love you”, one more time to wake up and call her first thing in the morning, one more time to hear her say, “Cyndi you’re a great Mom!”, one more time for her to remind me of God’s grace and how it covers all my past mistakes.

But I know more than anything Mom would want me to say to you, “Love Jesus with all your heart, your soul, and your mind.” She would say “Run to Him, don’t walk, because He’s our only hope!”

Happy Mother’s Day friends!!!

***If you’ve been reading my blog for very long, you know how much I love my Mom and how much I miss her. Today I’m praying for all of you that have lost your Mom’s. May you feel the peace and comfort that only Christ can give.

I’m Finally Home!

I’m finally home! If you follow me on twitter or Instagram, you know the last few days my husband and I were in Chicago. I was so excited to try some Chicago pizza, and it did not disappoint! Oh my, it was delicious!

We had a blast and I’ll share more about my trip this week. But as much fun as we had, it was so good to come home. There’s something about coming home! It’s my safe place.

I love my home, but there’s another home I long for. A place I know I belong. A place without mourning, a place without pain and a place without death.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Your Grace Still Amazes Me!

I will always be amazed at God’s grace! Why he chooses to forgive and love me is often more than my heart and mind can comprehend. But He is so faithful!

Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Today, I hope you know and can comprehend the grace that is offered through Christ! Are you amazed at God’s grace?

God I Need You

Well, this has been a difficult week. Tragedy in Boston and Texas has been all over the news and at times it has been hard to watch.

We live in a fallen world. Evil prevails many times because of our fallen world. I was recently given a bracelet with GINY on it. Those four letters stand for God I Need You.

When life doesn’t make sense, when loved ones die, when evil men use bombs to blow people up, when children are killed while at school, when we suffer with disease, I’m reminded, God I Need You!

This is an older song, but I still love it. In the midst of all the tragedies I still know that my redeemer lives!

Simply Sunday-If We’ve Ever Needed You

I hope you’ve had a good weekend! Sundays are busy for us but I’m always thankful to be able to go to church and worship. I love being with my church family!

This song by Casting Crowns was recently sung at one of our services. It’s several years old but still relevant today. The song is, If We’ve Ever Needed You. I’m not a pessimist but it just seems to me that our world is going down a dark path.

What has happened to morality? Do we even know what morality is anymore? Morality is defined as knowing the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior.

We’ve not only lost morality but our christian values are being attacked. I sometimes worry what our grandson, Colt Allen, will face in his lifetime.
