I’m headed to Chicago today to work with some other style bloggers and the temperature there is going to be cool so I purchased this INC International Concepts Embroidered Car Coat.

How To Wear White Pants

Spring is officially in full swing so I’m pulling out the white pantsWhite is such a great versatile color and it looks like it’s going to be very popular this season. I love wearing white pants but sometimes wearing them can be a little tricky.

How To Wear White Pants

Here are 3 things to remember when wearing white pants.

1. Always wear neutral undergarments. White and dark undergarments will show through.

2. Pair white pants with a neutral shoe. To keep yourself from looking like a nurse don’t wear them with white sandals. A neutral sandal looks best.

How To Wear White Pants

3. Don’t wear “too-tight” white pants. White tends to show every imperfection so you don’t want them to be too tight. If the pockets are showing through, cut the pockets out.

How To Wear White Pants

If you’re reluctant to wear white pants because you think they make you look bigger, focus on finding the perfect fit for your body type. Play with different tops and shapes or try longer blouses or short dresses over your pants.

Are you wearing white pants yet?

What I Wore-My Style

Today is What I Wore-My Style. The weather has been cooler and I haven’t known what to wear! It’s nice to have transitional pieces to wear this time of the year.

This green blouse from Old Navy is a great transitional piece. I wore it in December with a red necklace but now that it’s spring I changed my necklace to mint green.

What I Wore-My Style

If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know I love green. I’m so glad this year’s Pantone fashion color for the year is green!

Beauty for the Heart~~My Mom was a contributing food editor to our local newspaper. She always shared a Food for Thought and this is one she shared.

Learn to laugh. A good laugh is better than medicine.

Learn to attend to your own business. Few men can handle their own well.

Learn to tell a story. A well-told story is like a sunbeam in a sick room.

Learn to say kind things. Nobody ever resents them.

Learn to avoid sarcastic remarks. They give neither the hearer not the speaker any lasting satisfaction.

Learn to stop grumbling. If you can’t see any good in the world, keep the bad to yourself.

Learn to hide aches and pains with a smile.

Learn to keep troubles to yourself. Nobody wants to take them from you.

Above all, learn to smile, it’s priceless!

Have a blessed day!

What I Wore-My Style

Happy Wednesday! Today is What I Wore day and I’m wearing some of my items from my latest Stitch Fix. I also snapped a few pictures of my daughter, Courtney.

Before I share my outfits, I wanted to answer a question I get all the time, “Where did you get that artwork in your picture.”  The artwork is from a sweet friend, Dee. She has amazing artwork at Red Letter Words. You can check out all of it here.

Now, here’s some What I Wore. This is the sleeveless top I shared with you yesterday. It’s so comfortable!

Gold tip shoes-I ordered from Zappos

I wore this dress from Stitch Fix to church Sunday. It has a belt but I didn’t like it on me. It was a little chilly Sunday morning so I added my black blazer.

Courtney had a cute outfit on so I asked her if I could snap some pictures with my iphone. I loved all the color and the way the sleeveless blouse hung longer in the back.

I love all the color I’m seeing this spring in clothes. What’s your favorite color to wear?

What I Wore-My Style

Happy Wednesday! Every Wednesday I share What I Wore-My Style.

It’s geared for women over 40 (since I’m over 40!) because we sometimes struggle with what to wear at our age. We don’t want to dress like a teenager but we also don’t want to dress like we’re old, whatever old is. :-)

I hope you’re having a good week and you’re feeling some spring weather. It’s beautiful here in KY! My outfit is definitely inspired with warmer weather in my mind. I pulled out my white pants!

Black and white is a fashion trend this spring and I know I’m going to love it! I’m sharing two photos of the same outfit with different shoes. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to wear sandals or flats with my outfit.

I ended up wearing the black flats. For some reason I thought it might look too summery with the sandals. Oh well!

So have you pulled out your white pants yet? What about your sandals?

Beauty For the Heart~~A few Sundays ago I share a song called, Lord I Need You. I love this song but last night I heard it again and a phrase stood out to me.

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are

Can I share with you that my sin runs deep! But I’m so thankful that grace abounds! (I’ve shared my testimony here.) It occurred to me that maybe someone reading my blog might think that they’ve done too much, their sin runs too deep but let me assure you that there’s nothing that you have done that His grace can’t cover.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Have a blessed day!
