Happy Hump day! Today it’s fashion over 40 day. For some reason being over 40 makes me think a little bit more about what I’m wearing. I want to look my age but I don’t want to look like I’m over the hill, because I’m not, right?
Yesterday, I shared my Stitch Fix box with you. I got a comment from Shirley and she said, “it’s nice to see someone dressing like a lady.” What a nice thing to say! That got me thinking and believe me, I could talk all day about the “lack of” being a lady these days. You don’t want to get me started!
I have very few fashion idols, none of which would be in Hollywood. But if I were to pick someone that I admire in fashion, hands down it would be Jackie Kennedy Onassis. John F. Kennedy died before I was born, but her style as a president’s wife was amazing. She exuded class, and style. She looked and dressed like a lady. I love that!
Anyway, I’m not looking very Jackie Kennedy Onassis this week because I’m way too casual. It was Labor Day weekend and I spent a lot of time with my family.
I’m obviously trying to get as much wear as possible out of my white jeans. I know you can wear white after Labor Day but when cooler weather gets here I’ll put them away.
