Celebrating Mother’s Day This Week!

Good morning!

This week I want to celebrate Mom’s since Mother’s Day is this Sunday.

Most of you know that I lost my Mom to cancer in  2009. I miss her terribly!

Let me remind you to treasure your Mom!

In honor of my Mom I want to celebrate this week with gifts that would be great to give your Mom.

I’ll share fashion, beauty products, and home decor that would be perfect for Mom’s.

Today, I’m going to share a gift for her home. Obviously, you have to order this and you won’t

get it before Sunday but a note in her card of what you ordered would be perfect.

One of my favorite things to decorate my home with is vinyl wall decals and my friend

Leen the Graphic Queen has lots to choose from.

I love adding vinyl decals to my rooms!

These initials for a bedroom would be beautiful for over the bed.

This is my bedroom and I added these initials a few years ago and I still love them!

I would really like to add this to my home in the future. This is a great reminder of our blessings.

It reads “To hear the laughter of a child, to wake up next to the love of your life,

to know that God has placed them on this earth for you, You Are Blessed”.

Leen also has canvas wall art and this is one of my favorites!

You can check out many more vinyl decals and wall art from Leen the Graphic Queen here.

I think any Mom would love to add this to her home decor!

What do you think? Do you decorate with vinyl wall decals?

A Baby Shower of Blessings

Good Monday morning friends!

Wow! I feel like we are running in high gear around here!

We are super busy preparing for Colt Allen’s arrival.

We are getting close to having his nursery finished and I can’t wait to show you!

Yesterday Courtney had a “family” baby shower.

It was soooo much fun! We were surrounded by the people who know us best and yet still love us. :-)

Here’s Courtney before heading inside………….

Aunt Pat and her daughter Kelly gave Courtney the shower. We love, love, love them!!

Snapshots of the shower………….

Her only pink gift was a nightgown that says, “I heart late nights” . Her MIL made her this cute hat

and Aunt Traci made her this adorable wall hanging.

What an incredible day full of blessings!!

Walking in His Grace,

Free Gifts for Christmas 2010!!

Here we are Christmas 2010! I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year.

I wanted to say thank you to each of you who have stopped by my blog this year. I am so thankful for  you and treasure the friendships I have in blogland.

Many of you know that I lost my Mom to cancer in 2009. It’s so hard to believe this is my second Christmas without her. I’m so thankful I had such an amazing Mom who shared Christ with me her whole life—— even as she was dying.

This Christmas I wanted to leave you with a few gifts you can give that are FREE and yet are the best ones you can give.

Hugs

…..it’s so easy!  Hug your family. Mom always wanted us to hug her before we left and if we didn’t she’d come running outside and catch us. She would tell the grandkids to give her a “huggy buggy” and they thought that was so funny. So hug  your family extra tight this year and if they try to leave without one —-go catch them!

Say I love you

……words are powerful and we need to tell our family  we love them. I’m so thankful I was able to tell my Mom I loved her many times during the last weeks of her life. None of us know when our last day on this earth will be so tell the people around you that you love them and tell them often. You will never regret it.

Forgiveness

……..sometimes we get our feelings hurt or we can hurt someone in our family. Jesus reminds us over and over again to forgive those that have sinned against us. This Christmas don’t let anything come between you and your family. Life is too short to hold grudges or  have hurt feelings. Forgiveness is a wonderful gift to give!

I pray you will have a wonderful Christ filled Christmas. I hope you know how much He loves you!! You are truly His treasure.

Merry Christmas!!
