Rocksbox Review

Hey ladies!! I don’t know about you but I love jewelry. It’s one of the easiest ways to update an outfit. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the latest styles in jewelry delivered right to your door?

Umm, yes please! Well, let me introduce to you a box subscription for jewelry, it’s called Rocksbox.

RocksBox is your secret to an unlimited closet of designer jewelry. Members pay a flat rate of $19/month to get access to a personalized rotating closet of designer jewelry, sent in sets of three at a time.

Here’s the great thing. You don’t actually have to purchase the pieces you wear.

That’s right! You can wear them for as long as you want, and when you’re ready for a change, send them back with the pre-paid label and receive three more pieces. You can get several boxes in one month and still only pay the $19 a month.

For WIG&B readers use the coupon code beyourbrightest to receive your first month at only $9! Go here to redeem the coupon. No obligations, cancel at anytime!

Your jewelry comes in this adorable box.

And they customize it with your name! (I have no idea why but I always love when they use my name, feels like they know me.)

Rocksbox Review

I got this Urban Gem Victoria necklace and Margaret Elizabeth Ophelia Cocktail ring in my box plus a pair of GorJana Taner Dagger earrings in gold (I didn’t get a picture with the earrings).

I love love love the necklace and the ring. The necklace is $51 and the ring is $118. So I’m going to have to say goodbye to the ring. But I’m going to keep the necklace.

The great thing is, I’m going to tell them to send me another ring. I’ve had such fun wearing this one!

Okay, here’s exactly how it works!

Take the style survey and tell your stylist what kind of jewelry you want to wear

Get 3 pieces of designer jewelry handpicked for you to wear around town! Keep and flaunt your gems as long as you want

Swap out your Rocksbox set whenever you are ready for something new – or buy anything you love at 20% off. No obligations, cancel anytime.

Just in time for Christmas, they have gift cards, several to choose from!!

Alrighty, tell me what you all think?? Do you think this is a neat idea? Do you love getting new pieces of jewelry in the mail??

I will tell you, I like the idea of getting quality jewelry. I don’t buy as much fashion jewelry these days that’s going to turn green in a month. Do you know what I mean???

I’m trying to invest in quality pieces that I can keep for years.

Beauty For the Heart~~Someone told me this quote the other day and I love it. “Act the way you wish you felt, and you’ll eventually start to feel like the way you act.”  Sometimes we have to choose joy, even if we don’t feel joyful. Let’s claim it!!

Have a blessed day!

How To Stack Bracelets

One of my readers recently emailed me about how to stack bracelets. If you haven’t noticed, it’s a popular trend.

How to stack bracelets

So here’s my secret—-I copy! I look in magazines, and at other blogs. I have several pictures of stacked bracelets on my jewelry Pinterest board if you want some ideas!

Atlantic Pacific wears a lot of bracelets.

How To Stack Bracelets

It’s a good idea to get some basic bracelets to stack and then you can add some bracelets that have color. (I obviously have a thing for orange!)

How To Stack Bracelets

(Left to right) 1. Coral bangle// 2.Gold chain// 3. Christina link bracelet// 4. Adelina cuff// 5. Tampa Arrow Bangle// 6. Bullet bangle// 7. Sara Cuff in Coral// 8. Fireball Fab Cuff Bracelet// 9. Cutler Bay Neon bracelet in orange.

I don’t have an expensive watch, I purchased mine at Francesca’s and I wear it with my bracelets. Also, I generally wear gold jewelry but if you prefer silver, you can purchase them in silver.

Do you try to stack your bracelets? Do you have a favorite one you wear a lot?

Beauty for the Heart~~One of the things you’ll find on my blog I hope, is modesty. I believe true beauty begins on the inside and women of all shapes, sizes, colors etc. can be beautiful.

The Bible says, “Instead, your beauty comes from inside you. It is the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. Beauty like that doesn’t fade away. God places great value on it.” 1 Peter 3:4 (NIRV)

I also found this quote on Pinterest and thought it was worth repeating….Classy is when a woman has everything to flaunt, but chooses not to show it. -Author Unknown

Have a blessed day!

Which Necklace To Wear With What Neckline

Necklaces are popular this fall/winter season and there are several styles of necklaces to choose from. Do you ever wonder which necklace to wear with what neckline?

Today I’ve picked three necklaces: the pendant necklace, the jeweled necklace and the collared necklace and shared which neckline would look the best.

Necklines that are high up on the chest like a crew cut, or a turtle neck are perfect for a long or dangling necklace. This is a great way to add dimension to a simple shirt or dress.

Long pendant necklaces also give a slimming affect by elongating the body.

Pendant necklace

The v-neck dress or shirt works well with the popular jeweled necklaces. The necklace should hit mid chest.

the jeweled necklace

I showed you this red dress yesterday, that I recently received in my Stitch Fix box. Wouldn’t it look great with a jeweled necklace?

Toulouse Collared Wrap Dress

I love this necklace but I also think a pop of color would look great too!

If you’re brave enough to wear a strapless dress in the cold winter weather, then a collared necklace is the perfect accessory.

the collared necklace

Here’s a neckline cheat sheet I found on Pinterest. They style the strapless dress a little differently but I like the other ideas.

Do you accessorize with necklaces? Do you have a hard time picking the right necklace?

Beauty For the Heart~~I love one of the points to ponder in my devotion this morning. Regardless of what “it” is, God is greater.

I don’t know what your “it” is, but I’m guessing you might have one. Rejoice in the fact that God is greater than what you’re going through so give “it” to Him.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but Lucite is a huge trend for Spring 2013. Lucite is a clear plastic and is being used in shoes, jewelry and other accessories.

Here’s a shoe with Lucite added. I love this look.

Beauty For the Heart~~We are having a 12 day revival at our church right now. A team called the Life Action Summit are leading us. Wayne and I have two young ladies from the team that are staying with us. They are such a blessing!

I read this verse this morning and thought I’d share it with you, “Dear friends, we have these promises from God. So let us make ourselves pure from everything that pollutes our bodies and spirits. Let us be completely holy. We want to honor God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1 (NIRV)

Have a blessed day!
