Every Time I Think Of You I Give Thanks!

Hey friends!

This has been a fun week for me here on blogland. I shared with you on Tuesday about a new site called Sisters in Bloom that I will be writing for on a monthly basis. You can read more about it here.

I’m super excited about this new opportunity and the amazing women I’ll be working with. We’ve been praying about Sisters in Bloom for months and there has been a lot of behind the scenes preparation going on.

I don’t want you to miss out on this ministry so make sure you like us on facebook and connect with us at Sisters in Bloom!

Today I wanted to do a little blog management around here. I appreciate each of you so much for stopping by and I wish we could sit down together with coffee in hand and chat for hours.

Actually that’s kind of what I imagine we’re doing as you stop by and visit with me every day. So many of you leave comments, connect with me on my facebook page and email me and I try my best to get back with each of you. I love hearing from you!

Many of you may have noticed that blogs are beginning to remove the “Followers” of Google Friend Connect from their sidebars. This is because Google has pulled the plug on this reader-network for wordpress (and other) bloggers. Basically, my feed will no longer show up in your reader.

In order to keep getting updates, and to continue to follow my blog (oh, please do!), you can follow me in several other ways. Just click on one of the links below.

  • To email subscribe (which means my posts come directly to your email) click here.

I hope you will continue to walk with me on this journey and if you haven’t introduced yourself, please do!

Thank you again for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Philippians 1:3

A Great Way To Organize Your Scarves!

Good morning!

Yesterday I told ya’ll that I was going to be doing some organizing around my house this weekend. Well, I couldn’t wait to show you what I found to hang all my scarves on! You might already have one of these but if not I would highly recommend getting one.

I think most of you know that I love scarves (you can see my three favorite ways that I tie them here) and as you can imagine I have a lot of them and I’m always looking for a good way to store them.

Last week I was shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond with my coupons in hand (you do know even if their coupons have expired they will still let you use them, right? Don’t ever throw a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon away! They even use coupons from buybuy Baby).

Anyway, I ran across this hanger for belts and I thought I could use it. It was only $7.99 and I had a 20% off coupon.

I wasn’t sure I would be hanging my belts on it and when I got home I realized my scarves were all over my closet so I tried them first and I love it! This works perfect but I’m going to need one more.

I’m definitely going to head back to Bed Bath & Beyond to purchase another one. I may need an intervention for buying too many scarves! :-)

So what do you think? Do you have a great way to store your scarves?

Walking in His Grace,

My New Year To Do List……Get Organized

I have a to-do list a mile long for the New Year! I have so much I want to accomplish, goals to set {sigh}. Where do I begin? I’m so glad you asked!

My sister Traci, from Beneath my Heart and I will begin a series starting Monday, January 3 called:

I’m sooo excited!! I love organization but I love my sister more and how fun will we have collaborating together! I need organization in my home but more importantly I need it in my heart (don’t tell my sister that I’m doing the more important one :-) )

Traci and I have been wanting to do something together for quite a while. We are so much alike and yet so different. Here are some examples:

She sees something she likes and she makes it, I see something I like and I buy it.

She can do crafts, I cannot.

She can handle four boys, I cannot.

Some would say I’m high maintenance, she is not.

I’m older (I know hard to believe) but she’s stronger than me and has threatened on several occasions to hurt me.

Oh well I love my sister and I’m keeping her!!

What about you? Are you wanting to get organized in 2011?
