Today we’re going to talk about the dreaded muffin top! The changes in our waistline seem to be a huge concern for women as they age. Thankfully, there are some easy ways to camouflage this area. (Actually women of all ages who struggle with added weight in this area can use this!) To be honest, I […]Pin It
Well, Christmas is over and I’m spending the day relaxing! I love staying home and spending most of the day in my pajamas!
This is my second full year of writing about fashion & beauty for women over 40 (I started blogging in 2009 but it’s changed over the last five years).
Most of the fashion blogs I follow are twenty or thirty something women. I love their blogs but I felt like there needed to be blogs for women my age.
We want to look fashionable. We’re not over the hill (whatever that is) but we don’t want to dress like our teenage or young adult daughters either.
I’ve learned a lot and I love sharing the latest trends and styles with you. I’ve had so much fun and I can’t believe how this blog has grown! I’m looking forward to 2014!

You’ve probably noticed all the maxi skirt fashion for spring and summer. Some of you have emailed me and asked if women over 40 can wear them. Can I just say “Yes!” This is a great trend for women over 40!
The key is knowing how to style them for your body type. If you are thin with slender hips you can wear them with your shirts tucked in or tied at the waist.
But if you’re like me, and you’re curvy in your hip area then it’s better to leave your shirt out, in my opinion. If I tied a know at my waist, it would accentuate my hips and they don’t need any accentuating!Pin It
Happy Friday friends! Today my favorite “Pins” reflect my love for southern fashion. I found most of these on my Aunt Pat’s Beauty & Fashion board. I had to smile because we like so many of the same clothes and jewelry.
I come from a long family line of “shoppers”. Good shoppers, if you want it, they. will. find. it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these “PINS”!
Happy Wednesday and welcome to What I Wore-My Style. It has been cold this past week. It’s snowing outside right now so even though I long for spring, it’s not here yet. I bundled up the last few days with scarves and layers. I purchased this scarf on Amazon. It was $3 with free shipping. […]Pin It
Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I don’t know about you all, but I can’t help but think of Spring. The weather isn’t showing any signs of it yet but that doesn’t mean I can’t start taking a look at some spring fashion. Here’s a few of my favorite things: 1.1969 […]Pin It
