Good morning! It’s What I Wore day here on the blog. In case you’re new around here, on Wednesdays I share fashion for women over 40. Many of you have said you struggle with knowing what to wear so I’m hoping these posts will help.
Yesterday I shared spring fashion trends and I wanted to make sure you all knew that those are the spring trends, but we aren’t going to be wearing the outfits the models were wearing on the runway.
Hopefully, when those trends come to our stores we’ll find some more conservative versions!
Now on to What I Wore! One of the things I’m seeing everywhere this winter is riding boots. I love boots and women of any age can wear them. I purchased these on Amazon and they’re comfortable and fit great. They zip up in the back so they’re easy to get on and off. They were $44 with free shipping.
I’m also wearing a blouse from Old Navy. I like the style because it’s flattering for women our age. It’s a little longer in the back, and 3/4 length sleeve is flattering on our arms.
Green blouse~Old Navy Blue necklace~Francesca’s Riding Boots~Amazon Jean leggings~Calvin Klein purchased at TJ MaxxI had my hair colored and highlighted with red highlights. I went a little darker (I’m supposed to be going lighter, I know). I don’t mind experimenting with color because it can always be changed.
Have you purchased any riding boots? Where did you get yours?
Beauty For the Heart~~Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 The Message
Let’s Shine today for Him!
