Summer Fashion-Striped Dress

It’s Day 10 of 31 Days of summer fashion. Today’s post is going to be brief because I’m headed to Atlanta this morning.

This striped dress was in a Stitch fix box several months ago and I’ve been dying to wear it, so I’m pulling it out for the Haven Conference.

Summer Fashion-Striped Dress We talked about these wedges yesterday and I’m not loving them with this dress. I have another pair of dressier wedges but my daughter has them. I’m picking them up on my way out of town. Nothing like being last minute!

Summer Fashion-Striped Dress
So besides needing a dressier pair of shoes, don’t you think the dress is cute? It’s different, which is what I love about Stitch Fix.

Also, thanks for all the advice on my outfit yesterday. You all are awesome! I think I have a chunky necklace that’s going to work. I would love to add leopard print at some point but I don’t have time to get it for this weekend.

I’ll be sharing a lot of pictures on Instagram over the next few days, if you would like to follow along you can look up cyndi spivey!

Beauty For the Heart~~Would you all mind praying for my safety today as I travel. I would really appreciate it!

Lord, hear my prayer. Listen to my cry for your favor. Psalm 86:6

Have a blessed day!

June Stitch Fix Review

I can’t remember when I did my last Stitch Fix review but several of you asked about my pink cardigan I shared on Friday. It came from my latest fix and so I thought I’d share what I received in my June box.

June Stitch Fix Review

I also know some of  you aren’t interested in using the service but sometimes it’s nice to see what they send and if you’re out shopping you might find something similar at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s. I do this all the time with other bloggers.

So here’s what I received in my box:

41Hawthorn Bryan Short-Sleeve Open-Front Cardigan-The 41Hawthorn brand is one of my favorites from Stitch fix and I believe it’s exclusive to them. You can’t find this brand in the stores. I loved the color so this one was a keeper!

June Stitch Fix Review
Liverpool Ankle Length colored Skinny Jean-I’ve worked with this company before and I love their jeans. Again, I loved the color and these were a keeper!

June Stitch Fix Review
Tart Juliano Chevron Twist Shoulder Cowl Neck Top-I loved the material, it was soft and it wouldn’t wrinkle but t was too big and did nothing for me so this one got sent back.

June Stitch Fix Review

Renee C Cheli Striped Maxi Dress-I wanted to like this one! But when I tried it on, I wasn’t crazy about it. I think if it were longer, I might have kept it but this one went back.

June Stitch Fix Review

Papermoon Corbin Tie-Waist Chebron Print Hi-Lo Top-I love this one! I love the bright color and I love that it is a hi-lo top. This one I kept!

June Stitch Fix Review

Overall, I liked what they sent me. I don’t expect all of it to work but if I get a couple of cute pieces, I’m happy.

What did you think about my fix? Did you like what I kept?

Beauty for the Heart~~For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” Matthew 12:34b (NLV) This verse reminds me that what I say, and how I speak reveals what’s in my heart!  I want my words to be words that reflect the fruit of the spirit. What kind of words come out of your mouth?

My Stitch Fix Vacation

Well, I’m finally posting about my Stitch Fix vacation. Can I just say, that this was a dream come true for me! (This is a picture overload post, I hope you’ll understand.)

My Stitch Fix Vacation

I started with Stitch Fix when they were in the beginning stages so I feel like they’re family. I’ve been talking to this sweet lady by phone, email and skype and I finally got to meet her in person.

My Stitch Fix Vacation

Cotille does a million things but she specifically works with the bloggers. I can’t tell you how happy I was to meet her!

I also got to spend time with my sister (love her so much!).

My Stitch Fix Vacation

And then I got to meet Cheryl, most of you will know her as the Tidy Mom, and her daughter Allison. Oh my goodness Traci and I fell in love with these two! We seriously wanted to take Allison home with us. If I could have packed her in my suitcase I would have!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

I really did love San Francisco!

My Stitch Fix Vacation
This picture pretty much sums up how much fun I had!

My Stitch Fix Vacation
The first day we spent at the Stitch Fix office. We looked at the spring clothes.

My Stitch Fix Vacation

We styled each other. This is me showing the clothes I picked out for Traci.

My Stitch Fix Vacation

We looked at how they did those awesome style cards you receive in each box.

My Stitch Fix Vacation

We also got to look at all the new jewelry that will be in your Stitch Fix boxes.

My Stitch Fix Vacation

So much pretty jewelry!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

I love the Lauren Hope bracelet that I received in my Stitch Fix box a few months ago.

My Stitch Fix Vacation

We had a photographer, Michael Bisig, who took all these pictures and followed us around the whole time we were there. We laughed about how we had paparazzi and it was sooo annoying. :-)

Here’s Allison with that sweet smile on her face. She was such a fun seventeen year old!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

Trying to act cool, but we’re not!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

The second day we spent at the warehouse. This is where the boxes get packed. They are meticulous about their job!!

This is the infamous robot box that they’ve made and have at the warehouse.

My Stitch Fix Vacation
Here they’re showing us pictures of the beginning days, and where they are now.

My Stitch Fix Vacation
I can’t remember what I was doing here, but I’m sure it was important!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

We were each able to pack a Stitch Fix box. Can I just say it’s stressful, they have a system and it needs to look good.

My Stitch Fix Vacation

I was SLOW! I’m still working on that same top. I would never be hired to work in the warehouse. We figured that out pretty quickly!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

The warehouse if full of handbags. Swoon!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

And clothes! I wanted one of everything!

My Stitch Fix Vacation

I hope you don’t mind me sharing so many pictures but it was truly a wonderful trip! Thank you to Stitch Fix for asking me to come and see the whole Stitch Fix process. It really is an amazing company and I’m honored to be a small part of it.

Stitch Fix and San Francisco

I thought I would share some of the clothes I’ve kept from Stitch Fix lately. I also wanted to tell you that I’m heading to San Francisco to visit Stitch Fix in a few weeks.

I was introduced to Stitch Fix at a blogging conference a couple of years ago. I thought it was the greatest idea but I had no idea that I would ever get to travel to San Francisco because I shared it on my blog. I can’t believe it!!

Stitch Fix and San Francisco

Some of you might remember I was invited to go last fall but because of some of our family struggles, I decided to pass. I didn’t think they would invite me back, but they did! And even better they asked my sister, Traci, to come too.

So look out California, here we come! If you want to follow along, you can follow me on Instagram. We leave on March 25th. Yikes, I have no idea what I’m going to wear!

Now for some of the cute clothes I’ve kept. Most of them are for spring so I’m not ready to wear them yet.

Collared shirts are showing up everywhere this spring and this one will be perfect for a cool day.

Stitch Fix and San Francisco

I love dresses and especially colorful ones. Can’t wait to wear this!

Stitch Fix and San Francisco

This is going to be a great dress to wear to church this summer.

Stitch Fix and San Francisco

Both of these pieces are from Stitch Fix. The sleeveless blouse I got last summer but I recently kept these cropped cargo pants from Sanctuary. Perfect summer outfit.

Stitch Fix and San Francisco

You can never go wrong with jewelry and I’ve already worn this bracelet a bunch!

Stitch Fix and San Francisco

I love that I have some new clothes to wear as soon as the weather warms up. I am more than ready for warm weather!

Have you purchased anything lately to wear when the weather warms up? I’ve found several cute things at Target.

Beauty For the Heart~~Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness! Lamentations 3:22-23

I’m so thankful His mercies never end! Have a blessed day!

Stitch Fix Review-November

Stitch-Fix-Review-November

I’m finally getting around to sharing my Stitch Fix box with you. In case someone reading this is not familiar with Stitch Fix, I explained it all here.

Stitch Fix has been a fun thing for me to share on my blog. I’ve gotten to meet some of the ladies that work at Stitch Fix through Skype and I was supposed to head to San Francisco a few weeks ago to tour Stitch Fix and meet everyone.

Unfortunately some things came up and I wasn’t able to make it. I was soooo disappointed!!

Anyway, I wasn’t able to get a picture of me with all my pieces on but I have worn a couple of them and I’ll share them with you on Wednesday.

Here are the items that were in my box:

1. Ashmore dot print cotton henley shirt-This is a great shirt and I have several ideas on how I’m going to style it.

2. Toulouse collared wrap dress-I love a wrap dress and the red color is perfect for the Christmas season. Can’t wait to wear this one!

3. Julia utility jacket-I’ve been wanting one of these all season and I’ve finally have one. Yay!!

Julia Utility Jacket

4. Camelot Stripe & Polka Dot Cardigan-I did not own a cardigan before I started Stitch Fix (not kidding). I have several of them now and I love wearing them.

5. Davida sleeveless colorblock knit dress-This was the only item that did not fit me, it was a little snug in my hips. I wanted to keep all five so I would get the 25% discount. Luckily, it fit my daughter so she got a new dress. :-)

They always send style cards for each item. They did it a little different this time. Instead of being on each item, they were all attached together.

I love keeping these cards. I go back and use them all the time to help me style the pieces.

Well, that was my November Stitch Fix. All in all, it was a really good one. If you would like to sign up for Stitch Fix, you can go here.

Did you know that Stitch Fix has a blog? They answer all kinds of style questions!
