What I Wore-Summer Fashion

Happy Wednesday ladies!! I’m sharing some summer fashion with you today. I loved all your comments yesterday on eyeliner. You all have some great tips and I love how we learn from each other! I’m also going to try some of the eyeliners you mentioned.

Do you remember a few weeks ago we talked about ankle pants and how they look good with a little bit of a heel. Well, these shoes from Macy’s are the perfect heel for me and they’re comfortable, so I’ve been wearing them a lot.

I love this green blouse from Old Navy. I think it’s the only thing I have from Old Navy.

Okay, sometimes I get some pretty funny questions! Someone wanted to know what I wore when I cleaned the toilets. I had to laugh!

So here’s my stay at home and clean the house outfit. I know, exciting isn’t it?? I also wear my hair up in a clip a lot when I’m home.

I also get asked if I wear makeup every day? The answer would be yes, 99% of the time. I sometimes will just put eyeliner, concealer and mascara on but I always wear some makeup.

I take a shower first thing in the morning and get dressed for the day. I feel better when I do this and usually get more done. I rarely stay home all day without going somewhere.

I get antsy if I’m home more than one day, I like to be out and about! :-)

Do you like to stay at home or do you get antsy like me??

Beauty For the Heart~~We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls. -Mother Teresa

Have a blessed day!

What I Wore-Summer Fashion

Happy Wednesday! We’ve had some warm weather this week so I’ve been enjoying some summer fashion.

Monday, I shared my Mother’s Day dress with you. I got this dress from Stitch Fix but the brand (some of you asked) is Leota. You can find my Mother’s day fashion here.

The nautical style is still going strong this year and I’m so glad. I think a striped top with white pants just says summer.

I added my coral tote from Stella & Dot to add a pop of color.

We headed out to watch a baseball game and celebrate my nephew’s birthday and I wore this polka dot tank. I know you all have seen it before but it’s one of my favorite tops.

It looks like the weather may turn a little cooler by the end of the week but that’s normal for May. Have you been enjoying warm weather?

Beauty For the Heart~~I’ve been getting ready for my speaking engagement for Saturday and I’ll be sharing about true beauty, beauty that comes from the inside.

I’m using 1 Peter 3:3-4 (NIRV) which says, Braiding your hair doesn’t make you beautiful. Wearing gold jewelry or fine clothes doesn’t make you beautiful. Instead, your beauty comes from inside you. It is the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. Beauty like that doesn’t fade away. God places great value on it.

True beauty is real and internal. It’s always present. This is the kind of beauty we’re striving for!

Have a blessed day!

What I Wore-Fashion For Women Over 40

Happy Hump Day! The weather has been warm and I’m super excited. So, here’s some of what I wore this week.

The maxi dress is from Stitch Fix. I’m not sure if they still have this exact one but if you’re getting a box this spring/summer, I would ask for a maxi dress. I’m sure they’ll have some cute ones. I added a tank under mine because I felt it was a little low cut for me.

The sun popped out right when I was getting these pictures, sorry for the squinting!

I went for a monochromatic look with this outfit except for my shoes.

Let’s talk shoes for a minute. I found these sandals at JCPenney’s and I’m in love with them. They’re perfect for summer and they’re on sale for $24.99!! Go here if you want a pair, I have a feeling they’ll sell out quick.

Have you purchased any summer sandals? What’s your favorite pair?

What I Wore-Fashion for Women Over 40

Happy Hump Day! I’m sharing some fashion for women over 40 and my new obsession with Stella & Dot.

I blame my obsession on Shaeffer from Pinterest Told Me To. You’ve been to her blog, right? I can hardly keep up with all of her cute outfits!

I saw this picture of her neutral blazer and the gold necklace. At that moment, I felt like angels surrounded me singing the Hallelujah Chorus!

pinterest told me to

Why? Because that necklace was exactly what I had been looking for! It was pretty and unique and it can be worn with half of my wardrobe.

Soooooo, I copied her necklace. I guess I could call it, Shaeffer Told Me To. :-)   Anyway, I’m giddy over it, it doesn’t take much does it?

I recently received this crew neck layered sweater from Stitch Fix and the gold necklace was just what it needed.

Do you remember a few weeks ago, I hosted a Matilda Jane party? This is the top and tank top I ordered. I love it!

So a couple of random things I’ll share with you~~

  • I am waaay overdo for a cut and color. I will be getting it done asap.
  • I took these pictures after I had my eyes dilated at my eye appointment. I couldn’t see well but I managed to get some pictures, blurry eyed and all.
  • I did find out my eyes are worse than they were last year. Woo hoo! I’m trying to wear contacts AGAIN, we’ll see!

Have you ever had your eyes dilated? It’s a weird feeling isn’t it?

Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by! This is the day I share what I wore but some weeks I feel I need to apologize.

I spent the weekend with our youth group and didn’t have time to take pictures. I’m also trying to get ready for my trip to San Francisco. Crazy!

I also know many of you work at jobs where you can’t wear jeans so I’m sorry I’m in jeans again this week. I promise I’m going to do better! :-)

I love to try and mix patterns so I wore a polka dot blouse with a floral scarf.

Our weather has been cool so a coat is still a must. I recently received this jacket in my Stitch Fix box and I love it. It’s perfect for this time of the year.
