4 Key Pieces for Fall

It’s that time of year when I starting gathering key pieces for fall that I can mix and match during the season. These are my go-to pieces for fall and I purchased them at Nordstrom.

Off-white-top-with-booties-9This faux leather jacket is the perfect piece to add to my fall outfits. A leather jacket looks great with jeans but it also looks great with a casual fall dress.

Peep toe boots are at the top of the list of my must have pieces for fall. They are a great transitional shoe!

These boots are Toms and in case you didn’t know, with every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. I love that!

A great piece to have in your wardrobe is neutral top, like this mixed media top, that can be worn with a leather jacket but also a cozy cardigan.

  1. Love the outfit! Very “crisp” and “fallish” (is that a word? – LOL).

    Those booties are adorable!

      1. where do you buy your Nordstrom pieces?? I live in Canada and I visited the city of Ottawa where there is a Nordstrom store. this store is new to Canada. All the clothes mostly where designer… I can not find an item for less of 300 dollares unless is some underwear.
also the men department carry all designer, my son who is a young adult stuing in his third year of University can afford to pay 450.00 for a pair of shoes… I guess in the States is more affordable??/

  2. OH, I’m so looking forward to fall…not really the winter, but really ready for some cooler, less humid weather. And, I’m getting tired of my summer wardrobe 🙂 – looking forward to some new things/options to wear. Living is peace is hard some days…just sayin’. Thank ya Jesus for grace!

FYI – LOFT has $20 off all jeans and pants right now.

  3. Great versatile choices Cyndi 🙂

By the way, your hair is looking longer lately. Just curious….are you letting it grow out some? It looks really good.

  4. LO❤️E this outfit! Like you I don’t enjoy cold weather but I do enjoy the clothes. You know what they say, “It’s an I’ll wind that blows no good!”

  5. Love that outfit. I’m looking for that boot in Olive. Think Toms has it. Cyndi, I would like to ask for your prayers for us here in South Louisiana with this Flooding. Have lots of Family and Friends displaced from their homes. My heart is heavy today and Prayers are the only thing that helps. Thank you and God Bless

    1. Good morning! A fellow South Louisianian here! I, too, have been asking everyone to keep the prayers coming for all the folks who have taken on water and have been forced to leave their homes, businesses, etc.

I truly hope you and your family, friends, loved ones are doing well! I’m in Houma, LA and we haven’t flooded but I have friends and family who have gotten water.

Stay strong, as you are blessed! Have a great day!

    2. Will pray for those enduring flooding in Louisiana. Many in WV are also victims of terrible flooding and would appreciate prayers.

  6. This is a perfect pre-fall outfit. I looked for a jacket like this, last year but I need it in petite so it was hard to find.
I need to start looking earlier this year. Thanks for sharing and your hair has gotten so long (looks great!).

  7. 4 key pieces but unless I missed it….you only talked about 3 of them….I know the 4th were the jeans but I had to tease you on a Monday (and I’ll pay homage if I truly missed the jeans comment above) 🙂 = = thank you for always helping us all look our best with such great suggestions.

  8. Beautiful go-to pieces…. You are beautiful in them also!
Did you get your hair trimmed? It’s looking very pretty today too!

  9. Perfect for fall!
I need to get jacket…heading to
Louisville on Friday for first time
    Conference
    Any suggestions for good casual
    Dinner?
Such comfort to live in Gods peace!

    1. Hello Janet – I live in Louisville. Will you be downtown? There is a cool new area of restaurants downtown called “NuLu” (for New Louisville). Check out FEAST — great indoor/outdoor bbq place on Market Street in NuLu. Have fun!

  10. Christmas! ….there, I said it, ha! I lovery this look on you! I’ve had my eye on those peep toe booties. I do gave the Nadri nevklace. It’s light and adjustable so you can wear it 3 different lengths.

  11. Totally dig the jacket but not in love with the ‘peep toe’ boots. Then again, I am not a huge fan of ‘peep toe’ shoes, either.

  12. Love the outfit. I agree I don’t like the cold either but yes on the clothes. Your quotes hit me in a good way today thank you!!!

  13. Great fall outfit!! Although I’m not ready to give up summer. Hubby & I spent 2 nights in Lexington, toured the childhood home of Mary Todd Lincoln, Shaker Village & today historical downtown Harrodsburg. We ate lunch at the Blue Moon, which we enjoyed! Now I know where your pics from today we’re taken 😊 Such a beautiful & quaint town. We enjoyed our ride through the countryside.

  14. Cyndi, I love this outfit from head to toe, but with our weather forecast predicting continued 90 degree days and high humidity, I cannot even think about Fall clothing! I definitely like Fall clothes better than Summer clothes, but our weather will be hot until October. Boo!
